Yes.
In Muslim society, the parents responsibility to to ensure proper training and education with Islamic fundamentals. The better the school - the more Islamic instruction - the more Islamic instruction...well...the more opportunity for extreme "discussion".
To discount this type of school would bring shame to the family...maybe even worse...someone could get hurt.
This is why you have Muslims in America that won't stand and be heard when they protest terrorism.
And this is also why you hear American soldiers say that we should NUKE Iran, Iraq, Palestine...and let their own people rebuild. They are radically savage about their religious beliefs...
they torture TO DEATH those that even so much as speak out against their form of politics...so...stop watching the news and start supporting US troops in everything they do.
- but good luck trying to suggest to a Muslim parent they they should take better care in picking schools and friends...

Only if we ask Christian parents to do the same...after all, Christian extremists have caused more death death in the world over the past 1700 years than every other group...religious or otherwise...put together!
There are 2 billion or so Muslims in the world, but only a few thousand extremists. There are 2 billion Christians in the world, and literally millions of them are violent extremists.
Never forget that most of the terrorist attacks on US soil have been by Christians, not Muslims. It was white Christian males that bombed medical clinics that performed abortions. It was white Christian males that went around killing medical doctors. It was a white Christian male that bombed the Oklahoma City federal building. The Unabomber was a white Christian male. It was a white Christian male that bombed the Olympics in Georgia. It was a Christian male that went on that shooting rampage several years ago.
It was a white Christian male that killed at least 120,000 (UN figures point to more than 1.2 million) innocent civilians in a country that had never and never would attack the US.
We need to keep an eye on Christians that are becoming involved with Christian extremists!

I think it is reasonable to ask ALL parents, regardless of faith, to keep any eye on their children and the duty of all British Citizens to report anyone they genuinely fear to be involved with any form of terrorism or crime.
I know the current climate is quite volatile towards muslims and I think MOST of them are perfectly innocent of supporting extremism. But I do worry about those that think they can take over this country. If they so love their religion and way of life etc., then that is fine - but don't try to change BRITAIN. As the Aussies said, they are welcome in our country but they are also free to leave if they don't like our way of life.
What right do they have to want to dominate the world? And is this only a muslim thing or could it possibly be a MALE thing?

As a muslim parent myself I do keep an eye on my children, and I will definitely TALK to them should I fear they are becoming more extreme.
HOWEVER I would think, as a person regardless of my background, I will not be comfortable taking instructions from people that are not doing it reasonably such as putting myself and my family and my religion under the microscope and keep finding faults.
Have you ever had any muslim neighbor? My non-muslim neighbor next door once commented to me that my family is one of the most caring and sharing neighbor their entire life..

Of course it is, the vast majority would be doing so anyway.
What about other types of extremist? Should white middle class parents watch their children to ensure they don't become fascists, militant animal rights protesters, support George and Tony's global slaughter plan?
Should practicing Christian parents be told to watch out in case their children are turning to Christian fundamentalism?
No, no, no.
You question is desgned to deliberatly inflame hatred by targetting a section of the population by their belief not by their actions.

Every parent should supervise his or her children. That's reasonable for everyone.
Your second question makes me think the matter is more complicated than kids at play, though.
As long as the children are still minors and we're talking about the USA, then it's an obligation for the parents to keep the children out of trouble.
The fact that the parents know about the children's conduct means they can prevent it, so if something happens, they are negligent and can be sued.

It's probably unreasonable to single out muslim parents for this action. Why not all parents? Did you see Sleeper Cell? Half the terrorists were white!

Do you think it fair to ask any parents of any faith to make sure their children become responsible citizens within the country they live in. It's called parental responsibility.
