Yoga will not solve (cure?) the under active thyroid problem (which appears to be linked with diabetes) or the Diabetes - either type 1 (insulin Dependent) or type 2 (non-insulin dependent). Both problems are treatable - as I'm sure you know - but not curable.
I have had both problems for fourty years and have led a "Normal" life without any other health problems.
I am sure that yoga is beneficial but would suggest ensuring your blood sugars remain within the recommended levels (Usually between 4.0 and 9.0 mmol) by way of regular blood testing and eating sensibly. If you are injecting insulin NEVER omit it. The effort put in to maintaining your blood sugars is well worth it long term as I can testify.
Keep taking the Thyroxine and ensure that the doctor tests your blood at least annually to ensure that you are taking the right amount.

Bhujangasana, Paschimottasana, Halasana, Surya namaskara and also Kapala Bhati and pranayama.
You may try neem oil also. Chewing 2 – 3 neem leaves regularly helps purify the blood and in cases of hyperacidity and diabetes.

pranayam is the best exercise for all problem for thyroid also.For diabetes u do the jap of sugar controlling mantra 'Om madhusudnaya namah'.

try it somehow, it would be relaxing..but....the most important is to control your intake of carbs rich in high glucose..
