There are three brownie colour and one white one and i can not understand why when the father is white also do the pups change colour when they get a bit older

Maltese are white. Sounds like one or the other parent is not really a purebred.

Yes they do, they are often born a different colour to what they grow up to be. I had one that was an apricot colour when I got her and she's white now.
