I have smoked since I was 13 and I am female and 5ft8" tall.
I hate to think what height I would have ended up if I had never taken up smoking!!
What proof do we have that smoking stunts the growth?

nah - I've been smoking a while and I am 5ft 10" and friend of mine has been going for a long time and he's 6ft 4"!
rubbish - it's all in the genes. x

I'm not sure about the second hand smoking, but I think that if you smoke(not second hand smoke) it will stunt your growth. Maybe you should ask your dad not to smoke in the house! ( just a tip!) :)

It stunts your life and do you know that over the years you have smoked you could have bought a house & a car! I used to smoke and now have better health, and even at my age, 67 I can, and do climb the Lakeland mountians, and! I have the money to get there! You will always find smokers who say "It's never effected my health or life" but is that true, no!

Women who are pregnant and smoke tend to give birth to smaller babies. I don't know how it affects you yourself though.
