cause what he said was really stupid, and insulting, one muslim guy said to me that they can say bad stuff about chritians, but in the Koran there is a statement about the punishment of the person who talks bad about the other religions (christians and jews) cause they in some how do belive in the same god the muslims worship. and also the drawings about mohammed, that was really insulting, and they also insulted moses and jesus, cause there was a drawing about the three prophits in a french news paper last year, what are they trying to do? wage a "holy" WW3?

Yes, I agree with the Pope. He did not say anything that should be taken as an insult. What he was advocating is the abhorence of violence as a means of impossing your values on others. Please read his speech carefully before jumping off the cliff. And what is it about you fellows that you must go around castigating others just because they may have a slightly different point of view than your own. And if you are a faithful and steadfast believer in your religion why are you so easily upset??

What the pope said WAS really stupid. But he didn't write it. He was reciting it from 14th century texts. I think everyone should shut up about it as he wasn't even advocating taking up arms against Islam. All he really said was that Islam is kind of a violent religion. Disagree? Ask the last 3000 to ever be in the world trade centers..

well, we are already in the middle of a new Jihad (holy Muslim war to fight the non Muslims) so why not a crusade (holy christian war to fight the non Christians) in response to the Muslim Jihad.
the Christians call it Armageddon, GWB calls it war on terror, and I think bin Laden calls it Jihad.
I call it war.

No i think the pope was wrong. I totally disagree with his speech and find myself extremely unhappy because i am a Catholic! All i can say is that this Pope does not represent me nor did he speak in my name. His role is not to provoke controversy but to preach peace and mend bridges. I haven't been to Mass since his speech because i feel too angry.
