Adam was created first, then Eve was created from the rib of Adam.

After they were placed on earth, they procreated.
Their offspring were born in pigeon pairs i.e. they had twins who were one male child and one female child.

The female offspring from the first set of twins married the male offspring from the second set of twins.
The male from the first set of twins married the female from the second set of twins.

That was how their family grew.

The story of Cane and Abel: Cain wanted to marry his own twin sister (the twin who was born at the same time as him). She was supposed to marry Abel. When Abel's sacrifice was accepted by God, Cain Murdered Abel.

Cain married his sister. No where in the bible does it say that Cain and Able were the first and second born of Adam and Eve. What it does say is in Genisis 5:4 is, "After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters." So we know that Cain did have sisters also Gods law to not marry close relations did not come until much later.

The truth is that the Bible doesn't say anything about where she came from except the land of Nod. There are some that believe that she was Cain & Abel's sister. The reason for that is that they were the only family on earth. And the Bible states that Adam had sons and daughters. Other than that, who knows?

Its called symbolism. In my opinion that part of the Bible is all about symbolic representation of creation and should not be taken literally as many people do. I'm not knocking anyone's faith of course, you can believe anything you want to, but the only way to account for the sheer scale of missing information at the beginning of the Bible is that it was always only intended to symbolise the beginning of man and his relationship with God - it was never meant to be taken as pure fact.

all the knowledge we have about Adam and Eve came from the blood line of Moses. They were his ancestors back ten generations. So we started there....but that doesn't mean they were the first. They are pretty much metaphors....
