I think that once you got over the initial pain of letting go, most would look back at the situation and understand that all relationships are merely assignments. The are the context in which we grow. You either get the lesson or drag all the baggage into your next relationship. People unaware tend to reinvent the only lives they have ever known. If that life has been chaos and pain they will find themselves in different scenarios that are uncomfortable yet familiar. The way we tend to repeat and perpetuate the relationships we know is called repetitious compulsion.

Maybe when I'm 80.
Till then she can die of the misery she gives to others
so selflessly for being such an 'easy mark" to anyone
that asks.
No,I'm not thankful for the WISDOM & STRENGTH she gave me for anything because she is a compulsive liar,so I don't feel wiser,I just feel like a fool,.
So screw her.

i am thankful for the experience and my friends who helped me become stronger. I don't credit my ex at all.
It isn't the source of pain that makes us stronger, it's the help we get from those we love that does that.

I am... he made me stronger by breaking my heart
He ended my life and made a better world start
He taught me everything from falling in love
and letting go of the love......

i think half of the people that have exes are thankful, i myself am thankful for the experiences i learned with my ex.
i think a relationship is a life changing experience and any lesson learned from these are lessons you will never learn in school.
