Go to Control Panel, click on Keyboard option, and there are Character Repeat options for both rate and delay that will help.

If you press the Ctrl key at the same time as the delete key, it will delete a word at a time rather than a letter at a time! x

Hold down Q, Z, The Batman Symbol, Omega Symbol, another Q and then press the Any Key.

go to control panel open Keyboard properties in the Speed tab increase the Repeat rate

You dont unless your fingers are quick enough but what you can do is highlight the para/sentence you want to delete first then press delete and you get there faster.
