I heard of cortisone shots for migrane, but I really wonder is your phisician explain to you in details, frankly about all the side effects, which are really pernicious to your health..there are bunch of side effects from Cortisone treatment( any kind of treatment) and it is highly avoided and is administered when there are no alternatives..I do not exaggerate at all , in the long run Cortizone can cause you so much healthy problems that you can't imagine...Are those doctors sane?? Migrane is tough to be treated and I suffered from it for a very long time, so FIRST it has to be found the reason ( which is again a difficult task)..I am against any triptans, before at about 10 years, when they were something new I was at a Conference of neurologists and they are again so dangerous and I will strongly recommend you to change the neurologist, etc. and if there is no improvement I suggest you to try Alternative methods, like acupuncture, homeopathy, they are 100% safe and of help! Best of luck!

never did a thing for me. i find thattaking a double dose of pain pills, and sitting in a dark room with bluelight helps. I actually go to the movies when I have a migraine, and itis nearly gone when the movie is over. I don't suggest a horror flick, though, too much screaming.

I get a cortisone shot in my hip joint and hurts bad, I can't imagine getting one in my neck. No, I've never heard of this and I don't think I would do it either.

for migrains imitrex is awsome. cortisone, basiclly numbs the area when i get pain and inflammation in my joints i get them. If it persists call your doctor, and try a warm compress.
