Yeah, do it as soon as possible. The quality of life for you and your family will be so much better. I could think of nothing worse than bringing my kids up in a city. They are exposed to too much at to young an age. I live just outside of Brighton on the south coast. We have the sea in front of us and the south downs behind, both within 5 Min's walk. Moved out of Brighton when my eldest was 2 and don't regret it one bit. London is not a nice place to live with kids. You have the chance to get out. Go for it and i promise you will never look back. Cornwall and all the west country is a wonderful place, and a much safer environment to bring up your family. There is no contest.

I'm cornish, and yes it is a beautiful area, which offers a way of life far removed from somewhere like London, but beware, big job, London to remote cornish cottage, I think the shock will knock you for six! Life is totally different here, much much slower, so much so that I have met many people who have done what you are considering and have regretted it, or it has taken them literally years to get used to things. I suppose it really depends on what sort of person you are. If you love shopping, theatre, avaliability, excitement ect then you may struggle a bit. However, if you like nature, peace, solitude, walking etc then you'll be fine. Do you think that you are an 'earthy' person? Will your husband have to commute to London regularly!!! that's quite an undertaking. Whatever you decide good luck, I love it here and couldn't live anywhere else, but then again it's all i've known, even going to Plymouth is stressful for me! If you do come, please please please don't make the mistake that many do, in believing that they are superior, worldly wise and far more cultivated than the locals, get involved with local things. When in Rome............

Stay in London, and leave the country to the people who are born and bred there, instead of moving down and using your london money to hike the prices up so we can't afford to live there any longer! if you do move then maybe your husband should think about contributing to the society your moving to by getting a job within the local community!

Get a hobby - in fact get several. You are going to be bored out of your mind in winter
I was brought up on Dartmoor, moved to London and had the opportunity to go back, but I didn't want to as the pace of life is just too slow for me
I've found the middle pitch in the New Forest which gives me swift access to my needs in either direction without committing me to them

Yes do it. We moved from a big city to the middle of nowhere 8 years ago and I would NEVER go back. We love it here. My husband commutes 50 miles each way to work and back and doesn't care. It's worth it. And it will be much better for your kids too. Do it, do it do it!!!!

I love London, but it's no place to bring up a child. If I were you, I would move now before the little girl grows up and becomes attached to people or places. Good luck :-)

Yes... go... who would want to raise a child in London? It's a sess-pit now... it used to be wonderful... but now it's cr@p.
I'm moving to Suffolk in exactly 4 weeks and I can hardly wait!!!
And I'm still only an hours train ride from London... so I can still get my shopping fix!
