This painting is a copy of another painting, (which is not painted in the impressionist style) can anyone tell me the original artist,

I am trying to find a print of the picture in the film "meet the parents", which is the same.

The actual painting you gave us a link to is poorly rendered, poorly constructed and primitive, the faces look like animation. It's as if done by a beginner or by someone knocking this out in a hurry, someone trying to imitate another, much better, artist.

If it were used in the film 'Meet The Parents' my guess is it was just a set prop that either came with the rented house used in the film or picked up at some local thrift shop by a set designer's assistant.

As to who painted the original that this one was copied from you may get the answer from watching the credits from the film. Sometimes they'll list either the artists or who leased out the art.

I would like to say Mary Cassatt based on the subject matter but she did in fact produce art in the impressionist style.
