I guess it changes by how early you had sex or not!

Hi. Here is a helpful thought: the length of the "honeymoon" period is determined by you and your partner. It is not some arbitrary time limit put on you all from the outside, but an internal measure of how well you two are communicating, compromising and exploring with one another. And here is another hopeful idea: since you all control it, if it goes away, you can always bring it back! :)

For fear of sounding sickly, we've been together for 9 months now, and are still in our honeymoon period. Everything's great, magical and frequent ;-)

With my Ex, it lasted 10 days.

I dont think there's any right answer to this. The important thing is remembering the honeymoon period wont last forever (normally) and it's important to focus on what you will both have left after it. The relationship can be so much stronger and feel more complete, but that can still be there after the HP. Good luck ;-)

Have you heard of the "7 year itch"?
But if your meaning the butterflies in stomach thing, about 6 months. After that a proper happy relationship is better than that anyway.
It doesn't change by how early you had sex or not like you said. It may depend on how good the sex life is or not though!

"Honeymoon period" usually last up to 6 months and then comes the "troubleshooting period" where you need to make changes and modifications to suit your bf/gf needs...Then comes the "problematic period" where all problems basically due to either your bf/gf or your stupid mistakes. Lastly, there's the "goodbye-you-s.o.b period" where you dump your other half into the dustbin and start looking for more....its a vicious cycle that goes round-and-round-and-round, over and over again......

I have heard that if you put a smartie in a bucket every time you have a shag in the first year of your relationship, and take one out evry time you have a shag after that, you will never empty the bucket.

This lasts for as long as you want it to last and can start and stop at anytime, depending on the relationship you have.
