meditation is basically concentrating on one object. The object can be visible/invisible, tangible/intangible, a feeling etc. For example it can be a music that you hear at the moment or you heard while ago. Or else you can visualize someone or something and focus only on it.You can keep on thinking about it; Nothing else.Most people would prefer to close their eyes when they are meditating;because it let's you free from other visual distractions. This basically focuses your attention on that thing and you will be more aware of it; you will see or feel more than what you see from your intrinsic eye. When you improve your mind you will be able to see things others don't see. try to practice. It's wonderful!!!!

The normal definition is meaning to intercede or act between parties with a view to reconciling differences

"He interceded in the family dispute";
"He mediated a settlement"

You are basically being someone in the middle of something, not biased by either side.

I sit in a semi lotus position, best at 3am and say mantra: ham on in breath and sah on out breath. When I am aware I am doing mind chatter, I go back to mantra. I have studied a variety of ways and like this best taught by Siddah Yoga. There are SYDA Centers in most major cities.

Whoops....I thot you said "Meditate". I must be tired. Nite.

MEDITATION is CONTEMPLATION normally of God and His Attributes.
When you meditate, you would try to be calm and still and reflect on something internal or external eg. nature or your ego; or you will think about your creator and marvel at His Creation.
There are different ways to meditate and different things to focus upon. eg. some people may chant something while meditating, while others might read from scripture oe religious books.

MEDIATION is DISPUTE RESOLUTION. It is when you intervene to help people sort out a problem.
