Dreams are the result of your brain defragmenting, like a computer. That is why some of them make since and some of them don't. Your mind has to have time to dump all of the images and thoughts that you feed it every day so dreaming is when that takes place.

The imagination is opened during the hours of sleep, to open the doors of our consciousness to combine all from our pasts, interact with the present and maybe even show us a glimpse of the future. Not often are our dreams straight forward with a clear message in the stories created but not often will a dream be meaningless either, but more often than not we are unable to see what the dream is showing us, or trying to tell us.
The imagination is as vast as the universe with as much mystery as the universe and like the scientist tries to solve a few mysteries within our universe, the individual does the same within their own too-the mind.
Our sleeping hours of rest is for us to travel time too-past present and future-and they will hold many keys to your life, if you are able to deciphen the dream, or hold onto the memory of the dream, you will discover just how many dreams weren't just dreams, but answers to your life, circumstances troubling you, dreams of ambition and all your hopes, and even your fears
If more people wrote all their dreams down, even the meaningless ones, they will find a connection to it-either in the future, or something from past encrypted and waiting for you to see it.

It is thought by some that dreams are an indicator that the mind is not fully asleep but is more like running on idle, so it still tries to carry out daily processes - nightmares however- occur in order to wake u up most times when ur in danger(not in the obvoius sense but like when ur sleeping in an unfavorable position and ur unaware of it the body forces you to jolt and wake up so as to move out of that position which unfortunately consitutes scaring the crap out of u!!
