If you work over 8 hours do you get overtime ? law says you must. do you get days off at least two per seven days a week ?, are you paid under the table ? or does he take taxes out? if under the table its called slave labor, and he can be sued , don't sound like he's on the up and up ,and bosses cannot joke about your replacement there are laws in place for your protection , labor laws so if this company is in violation the city you work in needs to know this right away, take care, if this is a real question

the truth is probably yes. But don't for get that means you have to sign on. From the day you phone up to begin your claim to the first day of the claim starting there is three days (this is called the waiting period). So the quicker you start it the better. However it is paid in arrears so you will have to wait two weeks to your first sigh on meeting and then a future few day for the money to go in. So this can be a really tight period where you have no money coming in. I wish you luck and hope you find a better job in the future.

A few points:
If they are prepared to work long hours then they deserve to be paid for that.
Why is the child's father not paying towards the cost of his child. I pay to raise my children so why should my taxes go on benefits to support his?
And what about a bit of pride in working rather than living on benefits?

you have my deepest sympathy-you and the other girls are being taken for mugs. when you mention tesco and the minimum wage i assume you live in the uk. if it is agency work then i'm afraid theres not a lot you can do (another letter to my mp is in order-these agencys have to be tackled about this)-this is one of the problems we in the uk have to face regarding immigration-the forcing down of our wages. have you tried actually applying to tesco for work-also asda (walmart) sainsburys netto aldi lidl-all regularly advertise for cleaners/shelf stackers/checkout personnel. when you apply explain your maternal situation and the hours you are prepared to work. you would be paid at least the minimum wage work in the warm and work with people who can at least speak the lingo!!. put yourself across in the right way and you won't have any problems. like i said earlier-if it is agency then it won't get any better for you or the other girls sweetheart. so start going down the jobcentre-look in the papers-ask around. make a better life for yourself then the day will come (and it will) that you have found a decent job and tell this guy to shove his job where it hurts!!. best of luck.

Ask for more alimony, apply for state public housing and switch to waitressing. Work mornings or graveyard if you can and you will have more time with your kids. Get the older one to take care of them in the morning and the father or a neighbor or relative can check in on them.
You will save money on transportation and daycare. Then look online and in college brochures for courses. Online courses, distance education and vocational courses are available. You can get a loan, grants, subsidies or use your income tax return and do it over time, paying for one part at a time. You may also qualify for medicare, disability and some help for hardship from Social Services.

Yes darling. workl out what you get paid and speak to the benefits agency ask there what you would get as a single parent, if youre working up to 16 hours a week, you can get working tax credit and child tax credit.. Go seek advice and compare the two.

You are entitled to Working Families Tax credit to make up your pay......Keep working girl, dont be another scrounger like the rest of them....You are setting an example for your kids...if they see you not working they will grow up and think its OK for them not to work...As for the foreign workers this is an ongoing problem in our country and there is not much we can do about it....dont let this hinder your life.

Sadly in this country it seems that u are better off claiming benefits .....
I work myself to support my 3 kids and i am no better off working but i feel its about self respect ... I just get very disheartened at the way this country is going .....there is no incentive to go out and work ...
