And no use of the sacraments, ban on images.
Just the Holy Book, and prayer.

Every worldview (especially the major world theistic ones) will share a lot of similarities in their beliefs, but it may not be fair to either one of them to make comparisons that are too general or sweeping.

No.

Probably the defining factor of a Muslim is the belief in Muhammad as a prophet. Many Protestant sects do not insist upon a literal interpretation of the Bible. Many Muslims don't insist on a literal interpretation of their texts either.

I guess Christian and Islamic fundamentalists have the literal interpretation thing in common, but that's not the norm for either religion.

No, they are not.

Unlike Catholics, most Protestants believe in using only the Bible - that the Word of God is all that is necessary. I am guessing from the additional information in your question that you may be Catholic. The Reformation (when the Protestants split from the Catholic Church) happened because they thought Catholics were (a) corrupt, and (b) getting too far away (in terms of their practices) to what Jesus was preaching about, and what the Bible teaches.

The Catholic Bible has more Books in it than the Protestant Bible as well, so that is why there are some Catholic doctines that are not recognised (scripturally) by the Protestants.

I hope this answers your question!

I don't agree with your analogy, as it just does not make sense. I would guess you are of the Roman Catholic Church.

A Christian can not be a Muslim, or
A Muslim can not be a Christian, because of the great differences in our beliefs.

There are many similarities, such as both esteem Jesus, and strive to live at peace with all humanity.

It is similar to the similarities and differences between Protestants and Catholics.

Rather than try to antagonize, why don't you follow the teachings of Jesus and encourage love, peace, and understanding.

Grace and Peace!
