I asked a similar question that didn't get removed, so what's going on?
Who on Earth could be offended by cake?

It would be removed if you did not receive any answers to your question after a certain period of time, they remove it. It does not sound like you were in violation of their rules but if you were you would receive an e-mail notice from them. I would guess that no one answered therefore they delete the question.

I don't think it's because it was an offensive question, more that it was a question with no right or wrong answer - just because one person thinks Iced Bakewells are the best cakes doesn't make that the right answer as plenty of people would disagree....I thought Yahoo Answers was a place for finding out information, not debates (that's what forums are for)

Your question about whether Greggs still sell them is still open. Can't find any other but either it wasn't answered or someone objected. Sadly there are some small minded people who report almost anything. I personally only report people who use the forum to spout filth and racism when children read the questions. I wouldn't report you for this type of question even though I prefer custard tarts and Eccles cakes.

Did you mention that your question may contain traces of nuts ?, If not then that`s probably the reason it was removed, Or possibly it was for not paying the VAT incurred by asking a question about cakes rather than biscuits, You evil evil tax dodging barsteward and i,m offended by your non tollerence for people who have nut allergies ( Even though i myself dont suffer from this ).

The above may or may not reflect my personal opinions on this matter ;-)

The world is full of people with a low IQ and some will get offended at almost anything. Unfortunately you have encountered one such person who decided your question did not adhere to the guidelines set out in terms and conditions. There again it could be Military Intelligence (oxymoron) who perceived your question as a subversive threat, either way, like I said the world is full of people with low intelligence

By the way I do agree they are the best. Makes you wonder why questions are removed. I had one removed 4 days after it was resolved! Then you see some questions that are so racist and they stay on

Someone thought you intended to freeze all the people who live in Bakewell?

It's amazing, isn't it? You get some foul racist rant that lasts for ages! But cake - oh no sir, that's too contentious a topic!
Perhaps someone from Answers might care to post an Answer?

You'd be surprised. Maybe a rival of the makers of Bakewells got really mad. Tough business this cooking lark.

Maybe someone was jealous because they'd never tasted the delights of an iced bakewell!
