"And at midnight the LORD killed all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn son of the captive in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. Pharaoh and his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died." (Exodus 12:29-30 NLT)

Some of you said I took this out of context. How is this out of context? Some of you said they were idolaters. How are innocent babies idolaters? Some of you said I need a pastor to interpret it to me. What is there to interpret more than god killed innocent babies? Some of you said that in these cases we conclude "god is a killer." What else is there to conclude? And why is it when god does something "bad" I need interpretation and play it down? Why not when he says something good and that is out of context?

Hypocrites.

Nothing is out of context. They can make up as many excuses as they want but it's obvious that the god of the Bible is evil. If it exists it's the biggest mass murderer in history.

1. Most were not babies.
2. Pharaoh brought it on himself. He had already endured 9 "plagues" and stubbornly refused to allow Israel to leave. Charge the person who chose that course, God only gave him what he asked for.
3. Children often suffer for their parents' choices. How is this any different?

ACK! maranatha: Read Ezekiel 18. The doctrine of "original sin" is a lie! Eze 18:19 “But you still ask, ‘Is the son guilty along with his father?’ No! The son did what was fair and right. He was careful to keep all of my rules. So you can be sure he will live.

Thats how i heard it

First of all, NO human, baby or otherwise is innocent, we are all born in sin! Second, God has said that before there were ANY of our days (before our conception) God has seen ALL of them! He knows what is best for humanity. All the Earth, & everything that dwells on the Earth (or in the Universe for that matter) belongs to the Lord! One does not know (because God chooses not to reveal it) what happens/happened to those people when they died...what occurs after this life is between the individual & God alone. There REALLY is an "afterlife". God tells us that where we CHOOSE to dwell in that afterlife is totally up to us! God may do things that SEEM bad to you, but then it only seems that way because you cannot see the TOTAL picture.

here it is God's idea and that of you and your readers is different. We can not judge. Perhaps he reached down and ushered them into Heaven,, what's so great about life. Perhaps they volunteered for the mission. Nature designed by God kills everyday. This incident has been reasonable shown to be an act of nature. The first born slept near the floor and CO2 was released due to an earth upheavel. The miracle lies in the fact that God knew in advance and used the event to free His people. Death is not what the living think it is.

You changed passages...your first one was from Ezekiel, and now this one is from Exodus.

Two different passages...please get it right before you engage in name-calling.
