My mates relationship with his girlfriend has ground to a halt, although she doesn't see it that way.
He wants to split up with her, but if he goes about it the wrong way there's a great change that she'll remove parts of his body. I think she's a potential 'bunny boiler'.
What's the best way for him to to tell her he no longer wants to go out with her, without upsetting her too much?

just stop takin her calls, or even talk to her, avoid her like the plaque and trust me at one point she'll get the hint. its a really bad way but it will do the job. MAN!! my fellow womenship might disown me after this answer!

"Bunny Boiler" That's an expression I have not heard in a long time lol.
there never is any easy way to do this, but I always find Honesty is always the best policy. your friend has to be honest about his feelings. then if she does turn nasty he can hold his head up high knowing he was honest. In the long run honesty is always best. She may not see it like that right now but in time she will. everyone gets a little crazy when one partner decides its time to move one, its normal. No matter how he dresses this up she is going to be upset, so talk with her, be honest and most importantly stick to it. Giving in and saying OK lets give it another go its not helping her, its giving her false hope to hang on to and that's not fair, so be firm, be honest and be respectful

There really is no way of doing it without upsetting her.He needs to get some backbone and just break it off with her.If she is that unstable then he should definitely watch his back. The longer he waits the worse it will be.

Under the circumstances, very carefully. The only thing he can do is tell her he doesn't want to be tied down to any relationship right now. Let her get angry--she'll get over it.
