No, not just for immigration. I have passions about many topics.... such as child predators, and I recall being bashed for standing up for what I thought was right.....funny how some on this thread don't mind taking up for pervs. but yet will call some other people out that they don't like. (or defending those that did have something to say about me and a few others) Interesting ....very.
And to be honest when it comes to being race specific, 7 times out of 10 I will see that it is a pro amnesty/illegal poster doing it. How many times a day is the question "Why do white Americans hate Mexicans/Latinos??" Which gets the ball started.
As for the toxic words being put on here, I honestly believe for the most part people are in the heat of the moment. Except for a few people on here who hide behind other screen names so they can insult. If you are going to spew the toxic words then do it under your true SN. (maybe you will be taken a bit more seriously)
And as for you defending anyone, well that's your prerogative, do what you want. Who on HERE has the right to call you out for defending anyone?? I will tell you who.....NO ONE.

I believe it does for some.
Rox makes some good points-that I support. I think she is right here on this post.
I am also against any form of free speech oppression. But I do believe there is a line of decency that some should not cross.
As far as answering posts-you can answer anyone you want to. I don't believe it means you stand behind everything that person has ever said or that post. Sometimes we have moods-I cater too mine (often). Who is to tell me I can't answer someone that others don't like. I haven't been Daddy's Girl for a long time. I am here for my enjoyment not others. Some please me and some do not. I might respect some in certain ways--but maybe not in all ways. Some I have grown fond of. And some I have had a good relationship that is carried beyond Yahoo. Even to when visiting another country saying hello over a cup of coffee. Always with safety in mind. So I believe the good has out weighed the bad. People should see that.
Very good post and some very good answers from many.
And I do like your posts often Fox. I like your strong convictions. Your ability to communicate is an art that not all have. I think you do it well.
Peace to you, Yank.

I think passion runs deep when users of this post blatantly disrespect the forum. It works both ways. It's never what you say, but HOW you say it. I never expected to see so much hatred and bigotry disguised as patriotism as this forum offers. You can be against illegal immigration and not seed hatred with nasty blogs.
You pose this question as a result of someone attacking you in a question earlier, I saw it. However, Fox, the way I see it, sometimes it's better to pass on the question than get into it and be accused by "association." The troublemakers of this forum appear every night to insult, and it's on both sides. I see you consistently involve yourself in defending the princess, who loves the attention of your defense. Seemingly it appears as if you agree with her politics (by association). I dislike her politics and use of her blog for posting racist entries against Mexicans just to alienate the pro-amnesty side. When you get in there to defend the hate posts against her, she thanks you, and you and a couple of others are seen as being of the same mind. Have you ever written a racist, nasty poem like hers, would you even consider it? I doubt it, you have far more education and class. But it dissolves in a subtle way when you go in Princess' corner.
You asked. This is my view. Hope you're not offended. But, sometimes the best way is not to get involved. If I were to ask this forum who the biggest regular trouble makers are here, what would your answer be? I am not speaking about the impostors. I speak about the regulars. Who are the two people here who always have issues? We all know they create much of the scenarios we can choose to "stay away from," or otherwise deal with the situation, which you are doing here. It's the nature of cause and effect. Cheers! Peace to you!
See, what I mean, Fox? Do you think I should be discussing "stretched out anything" with the post below? That proves my point about the level of education and having class. And, you, Fox, are definitely in a different class.
And, yes, I do see what you mean; that's why I answered your question.

I'm not sure just what your question is. I am not passionate about illegal immigration, but I do think it needs to be controlled and my feelings are not race specific.
I am not a hater, and you don't come across as one. I don't use toxic words--or I try not to.

It is almost always directed at Mexicans, though the right wing has cleaned up their act and now just say illegals, though we all know who they are talking about!
The problem with those who have issues with them, like the paleoRepublicans, who NEVER want to go after the employer who IS committing a crime, but the victim!! The other side of their party needs the slave labor! That's why nothing gets done!
Funny, we were the immigrants 200 years ago before we stole their land!

immigration is a contrived problem created by the republicans to keep attention diverted from matters of real importance, such as deficit spending, eliminating federal benefits, iraq war, illegal treatment of prisoners of war and a host of other REALLY IMPORTANT matters that bush and company are keeping under wtaps, and don't want publicized.

I don't know if it's strictly the immigration forum i belong to another forum on books they are pretty passionate there also only they very rarely stoop to the lows that go on here. Then again here we are discussing human lives,so when it comes to degrading humans of any kind then your going to get responses like the ones on here.
