May be she also likes u, and she wants to hear more from u. Just dont say, i like u, express fully, i mean wat u think about her and wat u like about her, its 2006 just "i like u" does not works on girls. I think it will work on her.

There are a couple of options that immediately spring to mind.
(1) She likes you as a friend, but not in *that* way, and doesn't want to say anything that might offend you.
(2) She has never ever thought of you in that way before and has to have a few moments to figure out what she thinks.

She probably doesn't quite share your feeling and you may be making her uncomfortable.
Subtlety works a little better sometimes than stating the obvious. But if she isn't interested don't push it. Move on.
