Why would caring leading to having ears cut off here's the one for the tail docking-"Its fine oh boo-hoo the poor little doggy"
How couldyou be so cruel to animals If you cared at all why would you want to have your dog's ears cut off and the tails docked huh

There are many events for non registered or mix breed dogs..Canine Good Citizenship, Fun Matches, Obedience, Agility, Field trials, Junior showmanship, Herding, etc..If you email me your area, I can find the clubs for you

Yes there are contests for mutts that are just for fun-there is absolutely nothing wrong with that..Although I don't agree with you saying mutts are more fun, faster learners, better coats, etc. Not always..It really depends on the individual dog..I have a purebred dog and a mutt, and I love them both for different reasons..Not all purebred dogs cost that much either..you might want to research this a bit before you get any farther..If you want a mutt go to your local animal shelter!

It depends on what sort of contests, for offical ones like Crufts or league competitions then of course th dog needs to be purebred with papers.

Also, not all purebreds costs $3000- that sounds incredibly harsh.

If you want a dog purely to show- then you need to make the investment in a good puppy- high prices does not guarantee you a show winner by the way.

If you want a dog that is "funnier, faster larner, has better coat etc"- then it's obvious you're not really into showing a dog- and you should get yourself a dog that you really want, don't worry about it being purebred or not.

You need to think about what you want out of it all. It shouldn't matter the price of the dog.

There are plenty of local competitions where you can enter any dog, no matter whether they are purebred or not, and although you rarely win money- just a bright rosette- it's still fun and a nice thing to do with your dog.

Hi Someone, No you don't have to have a purebreed to enter in a contest. They have alot of contests for non purebreeds.I really get a kick out of the mutts, that tries to beat the other ones.Alot of non purebreed dogs are very smart, and a joy to be around.

If you are talking about a dog show based on confirmation then yes, or any event hosted by the AKC the answer is yes. But there several other events hosted by humane societies or clubs that are strictly fun.

You obviously know NOTHING about dogs-pure bred or not,if you're spewing such CRAP "granny-tales"!!!

MUTTS/MONGRELS are ***NOT*** "healthier" or ANY other *B-S* that the idiots(who have MUTTS/MONGRELS to PEDDLE!) LIE about!

The VAST majority of any dog events are for PURE BRED *REGISTERED* dogs! There are a very few MUTT contests of ANY kind...cuz who the F cares!

Btw..."chetco" is WRONG !!!! NO real club will allow ANY MUTT/MONGREL to enter their events!!! **May** allow a run...AFTER the REAL dogs are finished...just for a laugh!

Yes they need to be purebred, but they also may require to be altered, e.g. ears cropped, tails docked, and groomed a certain way.
I agree with you about Mutts.
