Its entirely on brand loyalty as there are too many people who will drink only stella even tho tastes worse than skol!! just as it is more expensive and a little stronger than most other lagers

It's all about quality, isn't it? When you drink Stella, you know you're drinking a quality brew. The extra you paid reassures you of this fact. Whereas, when you drink Skol, each sip reminds you of its cheapness. You get what you pay for, Gent.
Oi, losparx. Of course it's a marketing scam. I'm not daft, and I don't need my head examined. But you need a haircut.

It puts younger lads (who just go out to get drunk & fight) off buying it. They need to buy cheap beer to, so they can say the next morning " I had 7 pints last night" lads! Should be called "act a ****" not Artois

I think Lizzie needs to get her head examined.
It's all a marketing scam some fat cat thought of, I asked a belgian about it and he told me they don't drink Stella as it's considered a crappy cheap beer in its own country.
German lagers all the way!!

The price, as with everything in the world assures you that what you are buying will be of a higher quality. The problem is that sometimes paying a higher price, doesn't mean you got good quality in which case one would consider himself as being had.

Hey Gent,
I think that mainly the reason that it is "Reassuringly Expensive" is that is you feel that the price you've paid for the pint that you bought....is worth it....
Then we are REASSURED that you are really stupid!
(Or a blond American bimbo named Paris.......!)
