I had a bad fracture of femur, it has been operated and Nail has been put to hold the bones with screws. Is it safe after 6 weeks to go on full weight bearing.

You should be having regular orthopaedic outpatient appointments...i'd discuss it with your consultant. Everyones fracture is different!

Hi there !

If I had been in your position , I would have discussed the matter with the orthopaedic
surgeon ...rather than in a column like this..
After all...you agree to the fact that ..it was a complicated fracture..that too ..of Femur...
"Your doctor knows the best"..! right ?

Best wishes..!
