Always be honest, because in the long run dishonesty will catch up to you. Tell him the truth and just say that you thought it would never come to where you both would feel something more than just chatting friends and that you thought you would never want to meet.
Maybe if you tell him your age it will change his feelings. If not then don't worry about. Have fun!

You now have a problem. You just lied to someone and misled them. You told them that you are someone you are not. If he finds out and hates you forevermore, then don't be shocked and surprised.
In the future, you tell the truth about who you are. Don't get to personal, but be upfront with the basics. That includes your age too. Honesty is best policy. Only insecure folks lie about who they are.

copy and paste this in an email. and send to him. ask him what how he would answer this question. next time dont' let yourself get carried away in a world that has no real exsistence. if you lie.....then just be aware of what you may be doing to the other person. copy and paste the responses from people as well.

what is 26? what is 42? what is 1000? those are just numbers....dont worry if you are 26 or 42...if you like each other, age doesnt count. It is wise if you both meet and talk face to face....if things go smooth and you like each other, then well and good, if not....you tried anyways

Just tell him that you are 42 and that you are not interested in having online relationships. If he threatens to harm himself over someone he doesn't know, then he obviously has bigger issues to worry about. Don't feel responsible for what he does.
