And don't give me that crap of "god wouldn't ask me to do that." Just use a little bit of your imagination and pretend this would happen. This is a purely hypothetical situation.

This is a yes or no answer. I really would like to know how much you're willing to compromise for your love to god.

I'm talking about there being NO other possibility than god asking you to do this. Satan, buddha, Steve Irwin, nobody could be giving this message but god himself.

If you say "no," welcome to understanding atheist morality.

Well...first of all, there is no such "person" that is an INNOCENT man, (other than Christ Himself) as for defenseless old man,,,lots of those around, & as for molest a child...God cannot go against His own decree..that would make Him a liar, & that would NOT be the god that I serve in any sense of the word! However if the Lord Jesus Christ asked me to do His command, all that is within His mighty & pure will, then I would follow Him to whatever end!

Ggggreat question....and of course God has done this. He asked Abraham to kill his son ( surely worse that mere molestation or killing an old man ). I would say, however, no. I would have (self) doubt that it was actually God asking me to do this as there is only ever been one recorded incident of Him asking someone to do something like this. He promised He would not make any more tests of faith on this Earth. On the other hand there are thousands of records of insame people killing because they believed God told them too. I would just have to throw myself on his mercy in the afterlife and ask him to take the sin into consideration with all the others. I'd thank him for gving me free will and the ability to rationalise and apologise for getting it wrong on this occassion.

A being representing itself as perfect good would never ask me to so heinously harm another like this.

Your question is based on a logical fallacy, so no answer, no matter how imaginative the "yes or no" answer, could be correct.

There is no compromise where God is concerned! You are either for Him or against Him..God would never ask anyone to do such things..and if someone said that God did, I would say that they were a liar!

That would be the Devil telling you to do that. I myself have a hard time with the concept of a "loving God" but only Satan would tell you to do these evils!

my answer is No, as our Heavenly had taught us to love and protect of the life He given and thus i shall remember and will not turn my back against His teaching.
so if there is a voice telling me so, it would be just my inner god of angst told me so where i would not put the blame in His name.
and if i would do it it might just for the sake of my selfiness and my disrecpect of His love to His childrens.

God just not would not He cannot command that since those things are against reason and God cannot command things against reason for that would be against His nature.

how much more narrowly do you want your question answered?

could you restrict us anymore?

reminds me of my buddies in high school asking each other "what if your dad brought the ugliest old lady to you and asked you to marry her, failing which he'll cut off your dick. what will you do? marry her or risk your dick?"

"my dad would never do that to me..."

"BUT let's suppose that he did...

"ummm ok, I guess I'll have to go with marrying her and then divorce her when dad's not looking..."

"BUT YOU CAN'T!!! he's installed a dick cutter in your underwear and as soon as you say the word divorce, it comes off!"

"ummmm ok, in that case...."

see what I mean chum?

I would just have to assume that wasn't God... just like I have to assume the Bible wasn't written by God, since so much of it is very ungodly.
