Warren D....yes, Jesus would. Jesus called those religious hot-shots "Vipers". Did Jesus say that or not? Yes, He did.

Good question. But would Jesus have put it that way?

Some people haven't been introduced to the thought-pattern that they are sinners. Therefore they have no concept of Hell as something that is relevant to them, and no yearning to be saved from this fate. Simple as that really - if they don't think they've sinned, then none of the rest of it applies to them.

Personally, I'm not a Christian. If the Christian doctrine proves to be correct, I'm therefore pretty likely to spend eternity in Hell. Do I deserve to got there? I don't think so, and I think it will be the mark of a terrified dictator-god if I end up there. Either way, I need no saviour but my own conscience - I'll stand and fall as a fully-realised human being, in which I find more dignity than resigning myself to being a pawn in the supernatural chess-game.

Because it's all a groundless myth. What a system to make everyone sinners and then sell them salvation. That's like giving someone poison and selling him an antidote. I am not bound for Hell, for it doesn't exist, so I need no saviours from imaginary hells. Why can't you just "own up to the fact" that there is no logical and scientific evidence for this nonsense? The Bible says that as you judge others so shall you be judged and to judge not lest you be judged. You had best hope there is no Hell, because you'd be there before the people you judge and condemn, Smart Alec Ignoramus!

Because I do not believe there is a deity.
Because I do not believe there is a hell.
Because I do not believe there is 'sin'.

Why can't people just own up to the fact that there is no deity and that their moral responsibility is to themselves and others, not a Savior?

Some people were fortunate enough to be reared in a way that allowed them to become fully human. This means that they don't need the crutches and lean-tos provided by organized religion.

Other people manage to develop the maturity on their own, after they've left their original home, to take responsibility for their own actions, face facts, and live and work in reality instead of a dream world of deferred rewards and imaginary spirits.

I can only hope you will find your way out of dependence upon religion someday.

hmm...if you truly understood the fact that your salvation is a gift from God and that "no man seeks righteousness" then you would understand.

You may not truly believe that you were a sinner destined to hell, because if you realized that truth then you also realize that you did not come to that knowledge of your own free will. According to the bible that is impossible!

Probably because it isn't so. Many of us refuse to go along with the con trick of organised religion. It's just a support mechanism for the inadequate and the hard-of-thinking.

you still need one . AS you just commited the sin of pride.
I my self believe that I will be reunited with the Creator when the day of Judgement comes and we are all called back into the Body of the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS from which we were made.

Who the hell are you to tell people that. Your just a mere mortal like anybody else or have you appointed yourself as this fictional god you rant on about

My brother, Jesus Himself never used that tone with those who were searching for truth. We shouldn't bully and badger people into saving knowledge...the Holy Spirit brings conviction, not condemnation.
