Can you please talk this over with your doctor, and ask him if he can see you for a reduced fee, and also, have him get you the Klonopin through this program from the drug company which is set up to help people with money problems? I am a nurse who has worked in the mental health field, also have been on meds myself. I would never recommend just going off Klonopin even if you can't afford it, because you are on it because you need it! Maybe a local hospital or the county health dep't has a mental health clinic that can help you?
When I had no insurance for a while, my doctor was nice enough to give me my Cymbalta (antidepressant) free: When drug company salesmen came to his office, as they do each week, they always drop off samples, and maybe your doc would do that, too.

Well, as a patient that tried to quit, cold turkey, it was terrible. I take it for BP 2 and also, mostly for my Panic Dissorder. Klonopin, is the best of the Benzo's as it releases slower into your system, and into the kidneys. So drink lots of water.
But, to get off of it, you must slowly cut yourself down, or you cause you to shake, cravings, same thing as a drug withdrawl, as in Narcotics (I take them, also).
But, I cut down, and it was better, but I do calm down better on it. Seizures are only, if you already had them and was given the meds for that! I had it mainly for the Panic Attacks, so they got wose, when I cut (I take 2 mg, a day) and it was not great!
I know it isn't that expensive, for the meds. I get the generic (Clonazepam) and there is also a great program, https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php as they have a lot of meds, if needed, they can help you out, as I know it has helped a lot of other people! I was lucky, as other companies, that you deal with, and you don't work and no insurance, will pay for it monthly, as my Psychiatirst had it for me, every month in the bottles, like in the drug store. My Psychiatrist and Therapist, has helped me so much, I am lucky!

If you can't afford a doctor then call a drug rehab clinic and see what they advise. There are also free or low cost clinics that you could try. Don't try to go cold turkey by yourself without any advice. I don't know what klonopin is or what it does to you but it doesn't sound like a real good idea to do this totally on your own.
How are you getting your meds if you don't see a doctor? Doesn't he have to renew your prescription? Ask him when you see him.

Depends on the reason you are taking klonopin. There are many reasons. Have you looked into websites like www.4ppanow.com to get assistance with paying your meds? Free services are out there and drug companies write off the costs all the time.

YOU CANNOT STOP A BENZODIAZEPENE COLD TURKEY!!! You must taper yourself off. This is a long process; the withdrawl symptoms are HORRIBLE. If you still need the medication there are many ways to obtain it at no cost. Please do not stop a medication; your doctor prescribed it for you and you should continue it as long as it is beneficial. Since you have access to the internet try needymeds.com first. You will get the generic, clonazepam, at low or no cost. Also do a search on "prescription drug assistance." I wish you the best of luck.

Your question is not sufficient. What is the current dose? Are you taking any other meds? and for what? What drugs did you take these 26 years?
Klonopin should be taperd off very slowly.
