Why would you waste your money on upgrading a Corolla S? If you want to upgrade...here is a suggestion...sell that Corolla and at least buy a Celica GT-S or an older MR2.

If you must blow your money, I'd go with something more tangible like a stereo system or something more creature friendly.

The intake will cause obnoxious levels of noise for non perceivable HP gains.. and the tires are again, hard to quantify a real life gain ($800 setback is easy to quantify, however). If you wanted a better handling car with speed, why on earth did you get a Corolla to begin with?

dont listen to bobo. he wants you to avoid a noisy exhaust but get a stereo? what? do your thing, bro. if you want more power go with cold air intake, AEM V2 offers 120% air flow and the piping is made of a thinner yet harder composite aluminum so it has the ability to cool quicker and stay cool under intense conditions. i think the gains are like 5-7 hp and better gas mi. if you wanted to wait a little while im sure unorthadox or HKS will make a pulley (overdrive/underdrive)

Compressing air raises its temperature. You would like to have the coolest air possible in the cylinder because the hotter the air is the less it will expand when combustion takes place. Therefore many turbo charged and super charged cars have an intercooler. An intercooler is a special radiator through which the compressed air passes to cool it off before it enters the cylinder.

It depends on which is more important to you:

More power - Cold air intake

Better handling/ grip/ quietness - Tires.

For me, I'd go with the tires first.

once you lifted the front of the truck you greater suitable wind resistance. to improve your miles in line with gallon you will would desire to diminish the wind resistance or decrease the quantity of artwork the motor would desire to do to head the truck. the two a CAI or an exhaust improve might help however the main important distinction would be in the way you employ the accelerator pedal. maximum inexpensive fix to help is to improve air in tires to optimum suggested on sidewall, yet this could degrade the journey appreciably.
