I don’t know what to do. I have tried every thing I know. I let him out twice before I go to bed and I still wake every morning to him peeing on my carpet in the same spot! There are so many different types of cleaners to chose from, I don’t know which one to use! What is the best one to handle the problem and eliminate him going back to his favorite spot?

Zero Odor is good, but you can only get it on line..The best ones are found at your local pet supply shops..Enzyme activated cleaners, that get rid of stains and odors..there are several from small manufacturers, so the names would be different at each shop..but the owners will know what are he most effective..You can let your fingers doo the talking..call around..OxiClean works well too..

Instead of letting him out..try going out with him..He is likely holding it, because of fear when he can't see as well at night..

Get some Urine Gone at a PetCo, ot some OUT from WalMart.
Take away his water bowl at night, put him in a doggie Vari-Kennel. It is like his little cubby-hole or his little cave. It's not mean to do. Dogs feel safe and cozy in them....
He might be trying to tell you something, too. He may have an infection, or just be irritated with you, too. That's how animals communicate their displeasure or discomfort.
Whatever you do, don't scold him or rub his nose in it. You will confuse him and make the problem worse by causing anxiety. This is a problem that can easily be solved with some patience and creativity. You have a few good ideas here, and from other respondants. I am sure somthing will work.

Try picking up his water bowl a few hours before bedtime, then still let him out the two times. My mom swears by some stuff at the store urine b gone or something like that. Unfortunately, if he's gone that much, the carpet & padding is probably soaked through & ruined. At least it's only one spot if that's any consulation......

Confine your dog at night in a small room. They usually won't urinate when they are confined. He is going there because he can still smell the scent. I don't know how to tell you to get rid of the scent. The other thing is maybe he has a urinary tract infection. I would check out that possibility with the vet. Good luck.

he's marking his territory. canines like to pee the position yet another canines has peed even if if that's his personal urine. He has formed a habit. i tips a deep cleansing and putting a puppy pad over the spot. listed the following are some belongings you could attempt: once you're taking him outdoors and he pees and poops, bathe him with praise and affection. it is also a strong theory to furnish him treats. you could develop satisfied instructions which include "pass Potty" or maybe as he does, supply him praise. he will then affiliate going outdoors as an outstanding ingredient that hes going to be rewarded for. even as he does pass interior, take him to the mess and tell him 'no' or another command of your picking. don't be to aggressive or he received't understand why hes being punished. merely be assertive and enable him understand going interior is undesirable. Then right this moment take him outdoors and use your 'pass potty' key-word. He would or received't pass, if he does, supply him praise. it is also a strong theory to take her out more beneficial many times.

Can you confine him overnight? Dogs won't usually soil their sleeping area or den so if you can confine him until morning & then take him straight to your desired potty area, that would help.

Do not use products containing ammonia as the smell tends to entice them to urinate there again.

Depending on how old your dog is, you should provide it with lots of opportunities during the day to go relieve itself, especially while it is young. As it gets older, it will be able to hold it in for longer.

If you are consistend & patient, the dog will eventually go when you tell it to go rather than when it needs to go. As long as you give it enough opportunities during the day. So don't expect it to be inside the house for something like 10hrs without relieving itself.

This might sound a bit harsh, but it isn't- and it works......
Try sprinkling cayenne pepper around the area in question for a couple of weeks. After one or two sniffs, the dog might just decide
it isn't worth it. Doesn't hurt the dog one bit. Good luck

vinegar and water will remove the smell not the stain . vinegar neutralizes any smell and it is great for your mirrors and glass no streaks just shine. until he gets in the habit of holding himself all night crate him it will save your flooring and it will train his bladder to go longer without having to go thru the night sorta like training your toddler not to pee the bed
