I am so sorry to hear about that... I really hope your cat will come home soon...
Have you searched for your cat around your house area? Does your cat wear a collar or tag? Coz if it doesn't, maybe some1 thought your cat is a stray cat so they took it home... Try looking for it... Call her names while you are searching for it... & try asking your neighbours whether they have seen your cat or know her whereabouts... Bring along her picture with you... Or maybe you can also put up signs with her latest picture... If you still can’t find her around your house area, try broaden your searching radius... Cats like to wander... So maybe she just lost her way & forgot how to get back home... & don’t forget to pray, hoping that she will come back home soon...
I know how you feel... Coz I have also experienced it myself... My cat ran away for a few days... I cried & cried & couldn’t sleep or ate coz I kept thinking of him... I was also being chased by dogs when I was searching for it... I didn’t care about myself, all I cared of was my cat... I asked from door to door asking whether did they see my cat or not? & finally a few days later, some1 called me (I left my contact number) saying that he saw my cat hiding in the drain while he was mowing his lawn... I immediately went there & when I cried for his name, he immediately came out to me... He was so starving & dehydrated & scared... But he was relieved when he saw me...
So I really hope your cat will come home soon... Fingers crossed...

Oh I'm so sorry! I've been there myself. She may not have run away. I had a cat who was gone for several days once, and she was just exploring. Make sure you go outside and call for her regularly, and also bring a food bowl and spoon out with you--hit the spoon on the side of the bowl; they tend to associate that sound with food.
Put up posters in your neighborhood AND the surrounding neighborhoods. Also, put an ad in the paper and call ALL of your local animal shelters (even the ones far away).
My cat who disappeared had jumped into someone's car. She was an explorer. They drove off with her, and, instead of dropping her back off in my neighborhood, just dumped her where they felt like it. (At least, that's what we think happened.) My brother RANDOMLY found her 2 months later in a neighborhood 3 miles away. So, don't just look right near your house either.
Good luck! I hope your kitty comes home to you.

At that age cats get more independent and adventurous. She may be coming into heat; she's young but not too young for that as a possibility. She will come back if she doesn't get lost or scared. Put up lost signs in your neighborhood and local vet offices and pet stores. Put an ad in the paper. Keep visiting the local shelters and ask all your neighbors to keep watching for her.

Sweetie I am so sorry about your kitty but I bet she is just a little over 5 months old and probably in heat. Was she yowling a lot and running up to you to scratch her tail-end, nervous acting? If so she will return to you very soon, hungry and tired or she may truly be lost in which case, walking the block and calling her name followed by what I call my best Mamma Cat noise makes all the cats take a look in your direction. If she has someone else feeding her now it is possible she is confused about where she lives and will stay by the food source. Check for outside bowls and dishes in the general proximity (your neighbors) and see if she is hanging out under a car. Have a little dry chow on hand in case she needs coaxing. Remember if she is in heat she may stay gone for several days before returning and you will have to take her to the vet immediately or your kitten, will have kittens. And Sweetie you didn't say how she got outside...but if you are letting her stay outside by herself she is a target for all sorts of predators: Cats, Dogs, Opossums, Insects, People, cars and cars and cars. Get me? WHEN she comes home, have her spayed and then keep her inside if your parents don't mind and if she doesn't I have several here that need good homes, thanks to the guy two doors over who feeds them and breeds them but never spays them or gives them their shots. I live with his strays surrounding my house because I can't stand to see them neglected. Pray to St. Francis, he is the patron Saint for Animals and hopefully she will come home. Seaside Texan

Did you have her spayed? If not, I think she came in heat and run away to... you know. I know it's a little young at 5 months, but not unheard-of.
Put up signs with her picture around so that your neighbours will know it's your cat and if they see her they will alert you or bring her back to you. Spay her. Keep her inside. When you get her back. (I do hope nobody shot her or run her over - those are among the dangers when you let your cat out. I won't let mine out on his own, I want him to survive!)

Cats have been known to do that- be out of sight from their owners. I think she is fine and will return. Have faith.

If she is been with you long enough, she will come back, they usually hide for a while, she has no idea, they do come back though for sure, unless someone stole her.

Go get a new one. They are replaceable. Get a better one. Stick it in a box and put it in the closet so it can't run away.
