Want to buy a new car. Cant decide between - Alto/ Xing/Xeta. My priority is Mileage/CC/space/features like comfort/ handling etc. Budg. app. 3lacs.

I also wanted to know the complaints reported for these brands. Also if there is another category I need to look at within the same features and budget.

Which is the best car in terms of features and least maintenance and value of money types. Also please suggest a genuine dealer.

Well if you want an engine with more displacement, the Alto has the least, Santro the next and Xeta the most. The three cars stack up like that when it comes to comfort and space. If space is your primary concern, then it's the Xeta for you. It has a 1400cc engine and feels like a larger car to drive. The Alto is the most cramped one here. As far as handling goes, the three cars are in the same league. The Alto's puny engine gives maximum fuel-efficiency but struggles with the air conditioner on. The Indica which is great value for money, will be the largest and most comfortable car but there are certain hard edges to it. Lack of refinement, poor gearshift and occassional small problems that challenge its reliability are some of its letdowns. If you can live up with these the Xeta is the best bet.The Santro has a choppy ride at the rear. Its strengths include a reponsive engine, nice driving position and decent economy. My choice is the Santro.
