You might consider taking a job (for just a while) for which you are overqualified. (When applying for such a job, don't put down all your qualifications---for example, if you have a college degree, don't mention that on the application. If the interviewer sees that you have qualifications beyond what is needed for the job, he/she will correctly assume you won't stay with the job long.) During your employment in that job, continue to search for the type of job you'd really like. You might ask your creditors if some sort of arrangement could be made to allow you to lower or forestall payments. Perhaps you could do something self-employed, for just a while or on a permanent basis.

Hi there;

Register with temp agencies. I know that is probably not what you are looking for but if you need quick cash and need flexibility temping may be right up your ally. :)
Keep networking while you are temping! Ask for long term temp or temp to perm when you sign up. Temping is a great way to gain experience that employers are looking for when they interview applicants.
As for financial difficulties, everyone has those. That does not mean that you should dismiss them. Take stock of what you have and what you can do something about financially. What you can do something about, do something about it. If you can not do anything about particular bills but you will be able to address them in the near future, put your mental energies into those issues instead. As example; if you owe on several credit cards and one card is out of hand. Pay the minimum on the high one and 2 or 3 dollars extra on the lower ones until you are more able to pay them down with money from your temp jobs. If you are not meeting your basic needs (food, clothing, shelter) its time to see your community's public services. Do not be shy about this course of action. If you have ever worked, you paid into those funds as a tax payer and that is why they are there for you.
Stress is part of life, how you learn to handle stress often makes a world of difference for you as a whole person. Please do not become overwhelmed by this bump in the road of life. You will succeed and this moment will make you stronger as a person.
Be well.

Always do callbacks to prospective employers, give them a week to get back in touch then call back and let them know you're still interested.
