clean up vomit when it's on the carpet...especially in the wee hours of the morning when your child gets ill. What's the fastest and most effective way?

carpet cleaner or a mix of water and white vinegar...equal 1/2's of each sprayed/poured on the carpet. First dab the stain and then rub. Cleaning the stain is most effective when it's fresh.

I suggest putting a towel over it to let it dry as much as possible without being walked on... and in case of future vomitting incidients tonight.

Who cares about cleaning vomit when their kid is sick? Take care of the child first, then worry about the carpet. I have a Bissle Spotlifter I use for everything that falls onto the carpet.

A wet vaccum cleaner would do the job perfectly. Later put some talcum powder on the carpet and brush it off.

Mix a little bit of bleach with some watter and put it in a spray bottle. Wipe up the vomit with a rag and spray the area with the bleach watter then wipe it up too.

Lots of old rags and Lysol. You can throw the rags in the washing machine and in the morning, if you have a carpet cleaner use that.
