Been there........done that........my current husband's mother never has anything at her house without inviting his ex-wife, and she claims it is because they have a child together. I finally spoke up and told her and my husband how I felt about it and to this day, as of 4 years ago, we have not attended anything at her house since. Some say I am selfish, but I feel like this, she is his ex for a reason, therefore, she is not part of this family anymore so she should not be included in any family get-togethers. My husband stood up for me and told his mother to choose between him and his ex, she of course chose the ex because she has "the child". We have our own family functions with just our family and there is no comfusion anymore.......good luck to you, it is a hard row to hoe

That could really ruin your holiday spirit!!
I couldn't imagine how it must make you feel, a phony smile starts to hurt after awhile.
Have you ever though of having everyone come to your house
for the holidays?
If that won't work I recommend hubby having a little heart to heart
with mom.

Relax if she wanted your husband which was hers in the 1st place she would've kept him or tried to take him back by now, see it that way until she/he shows you a reason to doubt them.

ex fiance tells the story, you got him and the reason she is probably his ex is cause she is too chummy with his mom.

grin and bare it i think. sounds like a loss loss situation. if you say something it sounds like you will be out numbered. what about your husband, shouldnt he support your feelings about this and say something?
