If someone was suspected of being involved in a terrorist cell and arrested, how far would be to far to go in assertaining information. What would you consider to be torture and what would be merely an interrogation ploy? Where is the thin line and who should draw it?

Stop at mutilation or severing of body parts. The few must be sacrificed to save the many. In war, all are not created equal and suspected terrorists should be subjected to different treatment to the extent that the innocent are protected and military objectives are met.

War is a dirty business and needs those capable of conducting one in a manner that will lead to victory.

I think we should put them in a room with CTU agent Jack Bauer. I really think that when it comes to dealing with terrorists, and suspected terrorist that certain tactics do need to be used. For example light deprevation, exposing them to cold temperatures for extended periods of time 55 degrees. Our trained field agents need to be allowed to ask more than rank, name and seriel number. We are dealing with our national security and for anyone that is going to scream Geneva Convention, that only pertains to a person that is wearing a uniform of a recognized nation. Terrorist do not and there for do not fall under the protection of the Geneva Convention. This is a different type of war and we have to be prepared to fight outside of the box and do things that might not be comfortable to the average American. Protect our freedom, protect America, fight Terrorism!

No one should draw it, there should be no line!!! Do they draw a line when they torture Americans? Do they draw a line when they line their daughers up and shoot them in the head publicly? A line? Yeah that's funny!!!! We're talking about people that strap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up to prove a point!!!!! A line? WAR, does that mean anything to anybody anymore? That's why I have a problem with this so called war, in war you shoot 1st and ask questions later, you do not ask your soldiers to stand their and try to talk to the other guy with a gun before he shoots him!!@!

It depends whether you embrace the rhetoric of "the end justifies the means". Moral standards become irrelevant in the realm of systematic pragmatism. Therefore, there is no demarcation between 'right' and 'wrong', only 'effective' and 'ineffective'. In times of such uncertain fragility, moral restraint and humanitarianism become quaint anachronisms in a world of cold, harsh inevitabilities.

Easy. We will sit them in a room and play the Dixie Chicks album over and over again while gay porn videos are played. They will crack eventually and their minds turn to jelly.
