I haven't heard that paticular song, but I like what it says. Believe what you want to believe, no one can force you to think either way.

I'm to old to understand. You've only been exposed to religion for only 3 months? And your 15? So your on your own? I can not relate to what you know or don't know.
I have been involved in being Roman Catholic for all my life. And I am comfortable. My brother stopped during HS due to no one explaining why the constant asking for money, so he stopped going. My parents did not freak out or force him to return, which sounds weird because this is a long time ago, when force was common. (So maybe parents can be trusted?)
Ok, sorry, back to you.
If you live at home with mom and dad, I would try and communicate with them as they set the example, and are the moral and spiritual compass, you use to build your foundation of what it is to be YOU. (Do you live in a Norman Rachwell home? Or a different type of home?)
GOD made man, because GOD was lonely. GOD made everything and no one to enjoy it with. I am not educated, but I heard the Angels do not have free will, so are kind of sweet yes man, well that gets old fast, I think. So GOD made man, GIFTED us with FREE WILL, an unknown factor - now GOD does NOT know what we will do.
What will a human, given a yes - no question say?
What will a human given a choice do?
Who do you invite into your home for a party? Everyone? Bad guys and good guys? No, you pick people that will respect you and yours, and will not damage the house. GOD does this also. GOD says these are the house rules, obey them and you can enter. So few even listened GOD had to send his son JESUS, and his HOLY SPIRIT to try and invite more, and still few arrive at the gates of heaven. This is where we are today. We humans have the invitation, the house rules to enter, we are forgiven minor rule breaking, (As most parents forgive their children do.) We have time, because GOD has time. Some people snap up all this early some very late, but all are welcome. Your 15, you have time, to investigate and get comfortable in being YOU and knowing where you feel comfortable, (each religion has some differences, some are musical, some are quiet, some have dancing, some don't, ETC.) 3 months is a long time if you asked questions, and felt invited in. Getting tired of a church could be: the time of service, or the sermon, (could be the people - many old people, and yes more rules, these are human though.) Find out the times for youth (many churchs will lump 15 yr olds in the youth mass) - and have a more active service/mass - noicy, music, etc.
Our church, St. Michaels, has the 9 and 10:45 for youth.
Being old I go to the 8, nice and adulty, if a sermon rubs me the wrong way though - I leave, until it's over. One sermon is NOT the whole of being Roman Catholic.
Well, I rambled too long , and did not help, sorry.
I wish you good luck on your quest. 15 is a wonderful age, I was 15 many years ago, 1974! Ha, hey, no smart remarks, I told you I was old. Freshman year, man good times!
Anyway, please have fun, and investigate places, go with friends to where they worship, give some time to GOD somewhere, to thank GOD for all the miracles you've receive during the week, (you did notice them, right?) and because your power channels into the group and grows, then interesting things happen after your spirit grows. really.

God is NOT about what church you attend, or how often you attend...God wants a relationship with you..personally! There are mountains of evidence that prove beyond a doubt that God really does exist! (Even Albert Einstein, a great thinker of his time..& ours, was once an athesist..but after all his searching, at the end of his life,he KNEW that God existed!) The only ones that have ignorance & fear are those that are looking for excuses NOT to seek the truth, that don't want to take the time to research the answers, or are afraid of what they will find! The more knowledge you gain, the more you will find that God is really there! that He really loves you...personally! That He wants you to be a part of His Kingdom, a part of who He is! But YOU must take the time to seek Him while He may yet be found! Be careful my friend, the "propaganda"..is from satan!

Well, step one is to seperate God from Religion. Religion is for fellowship. Plenty of people believe in a diety without beloeving in Religion.

Myself, I find religion to be boorish at best, and an insult to the intellect in most instances.

Once you get past that, there is nothing wrong with questioning God, because it is by questioning him, and ourselves, that we learn.

As to the song you heard, there are certainly God's created for that reason. There are some who belive in a God no more amazing then Santa Claus, the bringer of fancy expensive cars, and making free throws. That doesn't mean there isn't a real God out there.

It also doesn't mean there is, either, of course.

I don't think I'd want to follow the philosophy of such a negative song. "Why did he put us here?" Whats wrong with here? Sure there's a lot of bad things happening in the world, but there's also so much good. That song will be forgotten in a short time. The word of God has lasted for centuries. Which holds more weight? It's OK to ask questions about God. He can take it. God bless you.

dead prez is right.
But you should read some more books, read about comparative religions and see what different ones have to say. When you have a better idea of how many religions and gods there actually are and can truly wonder why the one that the people around you practice is the only "right" one, you can have your own insight.

You're 15. Chances are you haven't driven a car, gotten married, had any children, had too many sexual experiences, had a job, or in any other way lived a full life yet. Why limit yourself to one perspective so early? Wait until you have more life experience before you decide. Only you can make that decision. Read lots and lots of books. Hear every side of every story, religious and nonreligious philosophies. Then choose what seems best for you. Think for yourself.

Good luck!

Just think... In the bible God says that he put Adam and Eve on the earth. Evolution proved that wrong... The church wanted everyone to believe as Jesus to be their saviour, and that everything revolved around the sun. We have proved that wrong - the church is wrong. God promised us eternal life (if we believe in his name) - look at all the Christians that have only lived till 50.

All the reason i am a meterialist (i believe in nothing supernatural, not the live of gold and money.)

You must forgive GOD for all the fault you see in HIM as you expect HIM to forgive you for the sins you commit that JESUS DIED FOR but still lives today. If you dont believe in GOD how did YOU get here? You dont only believe in GOD but you KNOW HE IS TRUE Because you are alive and living just like HE IS. You know this with every breath you take. Otherwise you would never ask this type of question. With out GOD you would not BE.

Okey let me help you.

In your position it is best to question God unbiblical way to arrive in your conclusion if God exist or not.

Let us study what we already know.

Let's look first on nature. Have you heard of duality in nature? It's simple. positive-negative, man-woman, bad-evil, rich-poor.

In the most basic form of energy there are also duality. The first is one we are very adept, knowledgeable and can even utilize it to enhance our life. This is called material energy. There are many forms and variations of energy and is subjected under all physics law we understand such as gravity.

The opposite of the material energy to complete the picture of duality is spiritual energy. It is this energy we knew very little. But by infering all knowledge associated with the material energy we can learn to look at the characteristics of the spirit by taking the opposite of the material qualities.

Material energy constantly undergoes transformation. The opposite for the spirit is that it is Permanent.

Material energy is limited. The opposite for the spirit is that it is infinite.

Material energy has many forms. The opposite for that is there is only spirit. The same spirit that dwells in every soul.

Material energy has no awareness and perception. The opposite for that is the spirit possesses those qualities.

Material energy is death. The opposite for that is the spirit is alive.

Material energy is bound by the power of physics law. The opposite for that is the spirit is not bound by physics law.

In summary , There were two(duality), spiritual energy and material energy whose characteristics are opposite one another. Material energy alone negates all consciousness/ awareness that we see that separates life from the unlife. Rocks don't have awareness but human made of the same material energy has one because human is not just material energy but also spiritual. The more we know the secret of material energy the more we can infer from it to get some insight of the spirit. Death( separation of body and spirit) will make no different(body) to the rock. The absence of spirit will leave the body unopposed to the will of the physics law and nature, so the body rottens(transform). The spirit on the hand liberated from the bond is back being pure and unchanged(permanent)

Is there God? I have given you the seed to start. It's up to you to go on searching.
