You might want to have a physical from your doctor. It could be chronic fatigue, lyme's disease, or an infection in your body. Sickness can make you feel heavy and tired and so can depression.

This is a serious answer, it could be constipation. If you think this might be the case, try to get more fibre in your diet by eating bran and high fibre foods or taking Metamucil or something, and cut down on dairy if you eat a lot of it because too much dairy can 'block you up'. You should also do some exercise, once you gather the willpower to actually start and get into a routine, you'll find it's much easier and it makes you feel great, and gives you energy. If exercising and eating well doesn't help the heavy lethargic feeling you should probably see a doctor.

Lack of sleep.
Heavy processed food intake.
Not eating.
Stress - Your girlfriend nagging you about some pressing decision. War on Terrorism. Any politics in general.
Changes in weather and/or humidity.
You are actually still wearing ankle weights and forgot to take them off (stupid answer).
