I know it sounds stupid saying this because they are two totally different things but it's like someone who is a cocaine addict. The users know it's bad for them but they still continue, the possibility of it killing them is there but they just can't stop. What has cocaine taken from an addict? self worth, strength, control, love, esteem and so much more.

A girl who gets abused by her partner unfortunately is robbed of the same things. The two or three most important things that help us survive is self-esteem, strength and self-love. He has robbed her of those and now she thinks she cannot or will not be loved again, that she is worthless, he made her to hold on to false hope that he might or will change his bad ways so there is no need to live him and she also thinks she loves him.

Creaps like that are always controlling them psychologically and that is why they (women) don't live them soon enough or never.

Try and get your sisters self-esteem back, tell her that he'll never change, tell him or warn him to never touch her again. Hopefully she'll see that he's just a coward who will never change soon enough.

My ex dated a guy that almost killed her, when i went on a military assignment guess what? she went back to him. I hate to say this but many women like bad boys, guys that treat them bad and have no respect for them. And guess what? that can explain why so many women complain that a good man is hard to find, Guess what ladies, if you haven't found Mr right is because you have been looking at the wrong places and not all nice guys are boring. I think you should do a goggle search and show her graphic pics of what happens on abusive relationships. spend a day in a courtroom and you'll show her the ugly side. If this doesn't work shell find out on her own.

I don't know why all do, but I can tell you why I did. He had me convinced that I was a peice of **** and lucky to have him! I was comfortable and knew what to expect! And this is the sickest part.........I thought I was a really good woman for him because I allowed him to beat me and throw me around and treat me like **** and I never complained or went anywhere or talked to anyone. I thought he must really love me to be that upset when I don't act right! I thought I was being loyal and stand up by taking the abuse! Pretty sick, huh?

One more thing, we become addicted to the chaos!

I'll tell you (being that I've had plenty of experience).....see, dirtbags like that, belittle the woman that they are with. They make that woman feel as if they are nothing without them. Usually emotional abuse accompanies the physical abuse. They take advantage (cheat). They make you feel like you are nothing, and that you are the reason that they cheat. It's a cycle, and it never stops. No one can help, only the person in that situation. It's like they're completely blinded on what's going on. Sad, I know, but unless she's able to see it for herself, it's gonna be hard to leave.

cause those guys beat it into the girls head that they can't do any better, then the girls starts to believe them and gets really low self esteem.

This guy has gotten her self esteem so low that she probably doesnt feel that anyone else would want her. You need to get her into counseling ASAP!

Because many younger women, want to be with the "bad boy" and in their mind if he beats them, then he is the "bad boy" they want.

You can't convince her. When she gets older, she may come to understand.

Probably this applies to very young girls-******* is fine but beating is another thing.
