Have you ever felt that grossed out things might have gotten into the precooked food you purchased as canned food, frozen food, or at the restaraunt? And this was kept a secret from you, the consumer?

I mean, you may not know something gross got into the food at some time during processing. You may not be able to see it and you go ahead and eat it trying to believe that it is reasonably pure.

I didn't want anyone to feel this to be hopeless. We can still purchase fresh produce, raw beans, etc and cook these at home. So there are ways to get around the possibility of some dirty little secret in something like you next can of chile beans.

one time I opened a can of green beans, and there was a HUGE grass hopper in there, I put it in a bag, and took it to the store, and then wrote the company with the store managers help, then one other time we opened a can of Salmon, and there was a Huge fish hook in there, we sent that to the company, and they replaced our money x 10. I try not to think about what has been in my food, or where it has been. I worked for a pickle factory here, and I will never eat a pickle again.

Well, we'll never really know until you open the can, right? But today's food processing plants are inspected regularly and have to meet up with ISO standards or else they are shut down. Maybe best to get canned foods made by credible companies and don't get any you're not familiar with. If you happen to open one with something gross inside it, you have to remember to keep the can untouched and call up the company that made the canned food or call up your nearest FDA office to file a complaint. Local health offices can also take care of this but normally I call up the manufacturers for bad produce.

No I haven't ever thought about anything like that. My issue is with people touching food with dirty hands. My issue started when I saw a waitress not wash her hands in the bathroom, then touch another persons salad with her filthy hands. Now thanks to you I have yet another issue to worry about. But not to worry there will be a new one around the next corner. You like I need to put these types of things out of our minds or live in a bubble.
