I seriously do not know the answer but in my own opinion, some of the native islanders near the phillipines, Indonesia, or the Pacific Ocean are still practicing cannibalism as their ritual. The news actually interviewed some of the natives and they said that they prefer "Darker skin" people, the lighter skinned you are, the worse that you taste..(grammar).. So that's pretty gross. I don't really know what religion is it though..

The most bizarre religion on earth is christianity. All the other religions are predictable. They all basically say that you're rewarded for good and punished for evil and when you die, if your good works outweigh your bad works you go to heaven and if otherwise then you go to hell. God kind of grades on a curve.
Christianity says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God(Romans 6:23) and anyone with any sin(just a bad thought or a little white lie) in his life is automatically disqualified from heaven and destined for hell. So everyone is bound for hell because a Holy, Righteous God can only judge sin eternally. That's part of his nature which he can never go against.
This God is a trinity. There are 3 persons in the Godhead but only one God(if you can understand that). God came up with this plan whereby one of the persons of the Godhead(Jesus) took on a human body, came to this earth and died for all the sins of the world thereby opening up the gates of heaven to anyone who was willing to accept this.
Unlike all the religions of the world, you don't get to heaven by living a good life or being a good person or having more good on your slate than evil. You get to heaven by having your sins paid for by God himself.
If that isn't wierd, I don't know what is. But for the same reason, I believe it's true. No man would have ever thought that up. If I was going to invent a religion I would have come up with something similar to all the other religions.
Plus you have a lot of paradoxes in the christian religion such as free will versus predestination, the Trinity, the dual nature of Jesus(both God and man) and many others that you don't see in the other religions. If God is an infinite mind and we are finite minds you would expect those paradoxes. There would just be,of necessity, some things that God would have to say "your finite minds just aren't going to understand this right now so you'll just have to wait until you get to eternity to understand it so just trust me on this".
There's a lot of other reasons why I believe that christianity is the true way to God(John 14:6). The Bible has the signature of God attached to it in many ways. One of those ways is Bible prophecy. The old testament has 333 prophecies about the first coming of Jesus Christ and 456 specific details about his life(all written between 400 and 200 years before he was born). The 4 gospels in the new testament(Mathew, Mark, Luke & John) tell the story of jesus. Had those 4 gospel writers chosen to not write their gospels, we could still have re-created the whole life of Christ just from the old testament(all written before he was born). In fact, that is how the christians preached the gospel in the first 20-30 years arter the death of christ. They preached it from the old testament because the new testament had not yet been written. Man sees history like a person sees the Rose Parade sitting in the stands. The floats that have already gone by him are like the past. The floats in front of him are like the present. The floats still coming are like the future. These prophets in the old testament who wrote about Jesus Christ seemed to be able to see history the way you would see the Rose Parade from a helicopter. They seemed to be able to see the end from the beginning. That tells me that though they were writing these things down the info was not ultimately coming from them but from a higher source because man simply doesn't see history that way. Also, the bible has amazing knowledge about many scientific principals long before these principals were discovered. Seventeen times in the old testament the bible says that God is "stretching the heavens". For thousands of years bible scholar struggles with what that could possibly mean. Then in 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe was expanding. The bible told us that long ago.
No other religion or Holy Book has this king of knowledge. All this tells me that these prophets in both the old and new testament were not nutcases but true prophets of God. These people who today say that God spoke to them only give us one way to know whether they've truly heard from God, namely, THEY SAY SO.
I certainly have no way to know. For all I know they may have had too much pizza the night before.
Christianity is the most bizarre religion on planet earth. I also think it's the only true religion. I guess the only question left is(to use the thundering diction of the King James Version) "what think ye of Christ"(Mathew 22:42).

Some people might think the Unarius Academy of Science would qualify:

They're waiting for UFOs to come to Earth with ambassadors from planets you've likely never heard of. They've been on a number of TV shows that probe the more "unusual" side of American religion.

Here's an article about them (not from their official website) :

the lack of religion. a person with out religion is more likely to attack a person of any religion. not only that but they also tend to be cowards on all levels of human existence. there afraid of death afraid to kill and afraid to understand they speak of tolerance yet do not tolerate other beliefs no matter how preposterous and do not understand why some do not want to be involved in there life style. atheism teaches evaluation, evaluation teaches racism, how by stating that one race is more evolved that another. that's how come Darwin started his theory that why Hitler killed Jews that the excuse neo Nazis use attack non whites

Few people know that Satanism isn't the worship of Satan.

Rather it is the worship of self. And on some level, we all struggle with selfishness. Our spiritual being is always in conflict with our flesh or worldly being.

Uranchia is similar to Scientology in that it has to do with aliens. In regards to Urancia they believe that aliens bred with angels And they don't deny the existences of Jesus. They view him though as a profit and not the Christ, the Son of God, the Savior or part of the Trinity

Scientology.

They think that the Dark Lord Xenu took all the aliens from his territory and put them into a volcano, then blew it up with an H-Bomb millions of years ago. Now we all supposedly have alien DNA in us and the only way we can get it out of us is through a process they call "auditing". The higher up you go in the church, the weirder it gets...if you are ranked REALLY high, supposedly you will be able to move things with your mind and fly.

I sh*t you not.

Those are the weirdest religious beliefs I have ever heard of. Islam and Christianity are NOTHING compared to THAT.

The cargo cult on certain islands in the Pacific whose members worship the Duke of Edinburgh.
It started during WW2 when cargo planes brought all sorts of things to their island that they had never seen before, so they thought this was some sort of god sending gifts to them.

i think it's the one in India where they have a temple for mice. They worship mice and i think they eat their feces and drink their urine and consider the white mouse the manifestation of Vishnu. I could be totally wrong about the details, but i think I'm in the ballpark.
