One could argue that hospitals are an answer to prayers.

Sometimes someone ending up in the hospital is God's answer to prayer. Prayer does work, but sometimes what someone wants isn't what God wants for them. I agree with another person's post as well, perhaps hospitals, and what they do are the answer to prayer. Life must be kept in balance, if no one died, just think how populated earth would be.

Disagree, Prayer does works but we have individuals in this world that abuse it for selfish motives and for unethical reasons. Doctors and nurses are God's most useful instruments for those who are lost and need healing. Hospital is not just full of physically ill people but also spiritually and mentally ill patients that need God and much needed prayer. I am a witness to that!

God gave man the knowledge to be medical healers. He didn't promise there wouldn't be illness, but He did promise to be with us during our times of need, and to give us the strength to get through it.He always hears our prayers, and He always answers them.Maybe not in the way we would want them answered, but God knows what is best for all of us in any situation. Hospitals are a necessity, and together with a doctor's expertise and prayer, anything is possible.

Your question should be written as "If prayer was answered the way we want all the time..."
Prayers are answered, but who are we to decide for God what the answer should be? Are we greater than Him that we can demand what we want on Him? By no means!

disagree with you... Allah creates the world and lıfe ... there is some rules ... you should fallows...
Prayer is two parts, first is your wish, you should wish some thing from Allah with your heart and tongue. second part is an act for your wish ... you should do what ever necessary to do ...
I mean I you are getting ill and if you wants to get better ... first you should say " My Rab ( Allah) help me to get better" then you should go to hospital...
if not ... it is be come like that ... maybe you tongue and heart says " ı want to get better" but your act says " no I don't "...
act is also a part of prayer... you should do

Prayer works, but not at our will. That's where faith comes in; believing that things will work themselves out.
As for hospitals, the majority of people who end up in one cause that on themselves due to reckless health decisions (i.e. smoking, junk food)

God uses our weaknesses to show His strength. Some people find God in death, while others that survive find God in life.
