"Electric" uses only PASSIVE components, such as resistors, capacitors and inductors. They are called "Passive" because they do not "act" upon the current/voltage passing through.
"Electronic" is when a component is ACTIVE, or apply some transformation of the current.
A filter made of resistors, capacitors and inductors is electric.
The same filter, using at least a diode, a transistor and/or an op-amp is ACTIVE, and electronic.
(Usually, if there is a vacuum tube, a semi-conductor or some sort of amplifier, we talk of "electronics")

Electronics Engineering is an Engineering discipline where non-linear and active electrical and electronics components and devices such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, etc. are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems.

In electronics we study both the flow of electrons or positively charge particals(holes)
Where as in electrical we study only flow of electron
E.g

Semiconductor (diodes,transistor, etc)

Conductor insulator

( Electron & Holes).
As we know that we study only the flow of Electrons in a Conductor and insulator,
but in case of Semiconductor, we study both of flow of electrons ( Negatively Charge) and hols ( Positively Charge).

electric is the passive components like resistor, inductor,capacitor etc on the other hand electronic is the active component. passive components are not capable of amplifying or processing an electric circuit but active components can.

a light bulb is electric because it works with electricity, but not electronic.
electronic is something that uses electricity to "think" (make a computation)
therefore, everything that is electronic is also electric, but the reverse is not necessarily true.

word electronic is usually used for circuits with small parts such as diodes and transistors and they usually have dc voltage of less than 24 v .electric is used for systems that used high voltage and their size is also bigger .
