I don't pray to Muhammed, he is not mentioned in my prayers. we consider him to be the final messanger...Islam is about having a relationship with God without a human or Church in between....if we include a human in a regards to divinity then we are practicing idol-worship...which is why we don't support the Trinity or believe that Jesuse was God, we don't bekleve that Muhammed was God either. The Qur'an states that his sole purpose was to deliver the message and he could not guide even the ones he loved and he was forbidden to make laws by himself. God even punished him once for this. In the Qur'an Muhammed is depicted as human: he feared other people when he should only have feared the Lord, turned away from the blind...This was Gods way of showing that you should only follow God and no human.....and he FINAL word of God to Muslims is the Qur'an (the Final testament)...this is why i personally don't follow hadith or Sunnah because God said the the Qur'an was the Final hadith and nothing was left out nothing else should be followed and that Muhammed was only human and could not guide anyone or make religious rules other than what God told him to put in the Qur'an (or anyone else for that matter)

WE pray ONLY N ONLY to GOD!!!
Muhammad (Pbuh) was a Human being like us!!!
we not only say this for muhammad .. we also say this for jesus, moses, abraham, noah, adam.. i.e for all the prophets (peace be upon all of them)
well wut u asked abt Muhammad (pbuh) bein already in peace... yeah he is .. but we send more peace on him ,,,, its a kind of respect n love that we owe him!!!

in islam.. we donot believe that a person goes straight to heaven after death.... EXCEPT for the PROPHETS n the MARTYRS!!
the decision for the others to enter heaven or hell will be made on the day of resurrection!!!

n abt the dead in the grave.. the good ones r in peace n the bad ones get their punishment also in the grave ( called Azzab-e- qabr)

Well, the real words are in Arabic. The transliteration is Sullalaho Alaihi Wasullum.

It basically means May God greet him and send him blessings.

This is an act of a special worship called Salawat -- which is asking God to bless the Prophet.

It is mention in the Qur'an that only God can send blessings on anyone, so it is a prayer asking God to bless our beloved leader. Because God loved Muhammad so much, we turn to God and ask him to bless and greet His beloved on our behalf.

The Prophet said that whoever does this, from anywhere on the Earth, angels are appointed to carry that prayer and greeting to him and no matter where or when he is, he will return the greeting to the sending. So we believe in his grave is is very much alive and able to receive the greeting of individuals and in return, he returns the greeting and God blesses that person.

Muslims pray FOR Prophet Muhammed for peace and blesssings on him. He is dead and buried in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

After you die, you are questioned about your life and depending on the answers, you are either in peace or agony until Judgement Day.

Peace

it form of feels not one of the commenters extremely understand; no somewhat references given, no expenses from the the holy books or authenticated historic records etc. i assume it perhaps in simple terms a count of custom and way of existence that it perhaps got here approximately like the various distinctive different styles of greetings and classic catch words strange to many cultures interior the worldwide today. See ya. hi. God keep the king. Peace be with YOU. Amen. the fact that Muhammad and maximum of those in his area of the worldwide have been illiterate would not help. enormously because of the fact the Holy e book grew to become into ultimately compiled with the aid of distinctive men approximately 2 centuries after Mohammad have been ineffective.

PBUH/T -- it is "peace and blessings of God be upon him/them", not man's. we dont use it for Allah as He is God. it is used for all of His prophets, Angels.

when muslims say -- peace be upon them, they do it out of respect for them. PROPHETS were men of faith. they were BROTHERS OF A FAITH. and they were sent by Allah for the whole of mankind.

we respect them and remember them because, they are role models for us. they were selfless and were not self-centered. they spent their lives in spreading the word of God. it is for this act of selflessness and righteousness, that Allah orders every muslim to pray for them, so that they will pray for us and with us on the Day of Resurrection and Day of Judgement.

we pray to God to bless the prophets with His mercy. and we muslims do it even when we greet someone -- assalam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatahu -- may the peace and blessings of Allah be with u. it is a must in Islam that -- a beleiver is he who desires for his brother what he desires for himself.

and it is just not meant for Muhammed-pbuh alone -- it is for all the 1,24,000 Prophets-pbut and all the Angels -pbut.

Muslims pray to God, and worship only God.

No other entity is worthy of worship, not even our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
