in my opinion I'd say yes or no. Yes your parents are right you are to young and no you shouldn't be dating at least not for a year or two but if you want to date go to one of those teen dances where only fruit punch or sodas are being served and that is just dating. Relationships are a whole lot different, just don't jump into a relationship right away you have to feel your way in (think of it as taking a swim go in slow let the water hit your feet it will be a little chilly at first) but it will soon warm up as you go a little further in, you are going be in a lot of relationships before you find the right one. So just take one day at a time and you will know when that time comes in about a year to two so don't rush it.

Sweet heart you're entirely to young to be even considering dating. You haven't finished growing so don't rush your self into the dating scene, you have the rest of your life to date.Focus on school and just being a kid for as long as you can because dating might seem like harmless fun but it's not.Dating comes with a lot of responsibility such as your safety -to name one.Your not mature enough for such an adult thing as dating so just hold out for a few more years okay?

Speaking from experience, I started dating at that same age and the guy was 18. Looking back now, I know that I was much too young. I wish I hadn't rushed into dating, and just spent more time with my friends. You'll have plenty of time to date, but if you feel you're ready please make sure that the person you go out with is around the same as you are. Don't make the mistakes that I did.

How do you know??? I wanted to date when I was 14...so I went behind my parents back....I ended up getting raped. At 14 you are so vulnerable, and it easier to let guys talk you into things you shouldnt be doing. Listen to your parents sweetie, you have the rest of your life. Trust me at 14 there isn't going to be a whole lot you are missing out on. But there are many ways it could damage your life. Goodluck and stay young while you can.

No. just enjoy being a kid for now. Trust me relationships add a complex level to life that you just don't need at 14, if your friends are dating just sit back and watch the drama unfold it's like a new episode of a soap opera everyday at school

I think you're too young. Dating isn't suppose to be a sport, it's suppose to be an effort to find a marriage companion.
Okay, Okay, I know that sounds old fashioned, but that's how I believe it should be. What business do little kids having dating??

Listen to yur parents, they know better. They wouldn't advise you something that won't be good for you. I know some people who dated and had boyfriends/girlfriends at a very young age and what happened was they neglected their studies, some got pregnant, married and separated. Now they regret what they have done and became very miserable. I wouldn't like you to be miserable, so, please concentrate more on your studies, develop your talents and enjoy your childhood before settling on relationships.

Not really, unless you are from some third world country, or if you are an Israeli where the legal age to marry is 13 I believe, I could be thinking about the wrong country though.
