I don't worship the computer. I use it a lot.
The computer is a tool. A good one properly used. I like it better than television, and I think the same question could have been asked about TV a few years ago.
I go online maybe a couple of times a day, mostly in connection with work.

I suppose anything can become an "idol" of sorts. Personally, when I first got my chance to get on-line, i was there from late evening until early morning. Now, I pretty much just check email, submit course assignments, and got to a handful of sites. All in all, I'm not as much of a "mouse potato" as I used to be. I suppose that the computer can become a crutch of sorts like anything else -- drugs, Alcohol, religion, etc. -- but I really do not believe that it could be any sort of anti-christ, regardless of interpretations of Revelations or any other Apocalyptic literature.

That's an interesting perception! But no. The computer isn't claiming to be any thing or any body!
It doesn't ask us to do any thing specifically. We could be doing allot of good things with this computer. Or according to somes preference, use it for things that aren't good for ourselves or any one else! There for it might be called an idol. If we love it and worship it. But not an antiChrist. The antiChrist will try to convince us that we need to worship him, a living, breathing human being. Will try to tell us that he is the one that was promised. So no that still puts the computer into the Idol category, NOT the antiChrist category.

I know it's exciting when a question pops up in your head and all, but remember about spelling k? :)
The computer is not the anti-Christ but it could be a powerful tool of the devil because of its ability to provide unlimited connectivity through the Internet. That makes the Internet a tool of the devil too, so to all Christians, be careful of what you put into your minds through the Internet!
God bless!

No I do not worship the computer. I use it for many things including spreading the gospel. It is a great learning tool just like the encyclopedia use to be.

The anti-Christ has a will. Computers do not will.
I am not worshipping the computer. It is a strange question to ask. It is like asking a carpenter if he worships his hammer. The computer is a tool.

Nope. Because the Computer is used to spread Christianity as much as it is used against Christianity.

Interesting fact:
Each letter in the Hebrew alphabet ALSO represents a numerical value.
In Hebrew, "w" = "6"
