I would call them complex, romantic & fascinating...

Ha ha! I use three dots a lot! Not sure why. Just like trailing off that way. Makes it seem like there's so much more. Of course there is so much more than I can ever explain...

Everyone has a bad habit & dots are mine...

I for one do not use this excessively...however I do find that it is quicker than putting in a full-stop, spacing and then holding down the shift key for a capital letter...I think that's why they (we), do it. The official name, I don't know, sorry.

The three dots is called an ellipsis. I like Bethany's name for the condition - "ellipsitis". Or maybe "ellipsophy" or "ellipsiphilia".
