religion say that we are in the book/times of revelations. do you understand what the mark of the beast is ?

In common greek, the language the New Testament was written, every letter had a numerical value.....alpha was 1, beta was 2 and on and on. It says in revelations chapter 13 that we are to count the number of his name and that number is 666. I would think that this would mean that when you add up the numerical value of the greek equivalent of of the letters of the anti-christs' name(when he is revealed) that it will add up to 666.
Rev. 13:18-- This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.

The number of the beast is the number of a man. His number is 666. In Bible prophecy 6 equals an error or imperfection where 7 equals perfection or completeness. A triple of six equals the great trinity of error: the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet.
Here is Satan's false trinity. The number 666 is closely associated with the most exalted title of the papacy, Vicarius Filii Dei-means Vicar the Son of God.

666 is the the name of Emperor Nero, one of the most hated Emperors in Roman history. He was so hated, many of the citizens destroyed the statues that were made of him. Only a handful of his statues still exist to this day.

Perhaps religions are like boogers. You get to pick your own. But you should not be surprised when some of your friends and neighbors admit that they are surprised, amused, or disgusted by what you are willing to swallow.
