I met him a week ago, and although I don't want to be bf/gf, I want to get to know him better. My heart jumps at the site of him (I've never been like this around a guy b4), and we both smile when our eyes meet. One of my friends even heard him say he wanted to meet me (b4 we met) so she introduced us. Problem: He's Chinese, I'm American. He's only here for a year. :(

I'm not good at breaking the ice. my chinese friends tell me that a lot of the chinese boys think i'm cute, but he's the only one to show interest, but he's doing everything from the one who said he liked me in the first place, except the smiling and sputtering of not knowing what to say. oh and how do i keep from blushing? *blush* i always run off without explanation when that happens.

make him feel comfortable with you, give him that special attention and he'll notice it... chinese guys are culture-sensitive, meaning romantic feelings do not flow out easy, you have to break that inhibition in him.

just go for it, that is not a problem, that just means if things do not work out, you will not have to be embarresed about it all the time. I think that you should tell him how you feel, but after you get to know him a little better. Then you will skip the awkward part. good luck!

Be his friend first. Dont rush things, when you rush things you tend to ruin things fast and things get older faster. Take your time be his friend get to really know him and then go in for the kill.

theres nothing to do. look ,love can happen any where with anyone. just close your eyes,hold his hands and openly pour everything which you got to say him and feel calm and relaxed.he will be left in dilemma. i promise he will accept it with honour,as you said even he loves you.just marry him and settle with him.gud luk.
