does, so why are you so hateful and scared when you're around Muslims? I'm not saying all Christians act this way, but a lot of them do. Why are you so paranoid? And please don't say because of 9/11. That one's getting old! None of the kind of Muslims I know are responsible for the attack, so get off it already! That was done by fundamentalists, who are gravely misguided, and only make up about 1% of "Muslims." Enough with the paranoia, already. If you really want to prove you're good Christians, then practice what you preach, and stop calling us names. That is not Christian behavior. Peace.

Nondescript, you have a point. Some religions do promote intolerance to people who are not in that particular group. However, regardless of what anybody may think, Muslims are not one of those groups. People of all faiths are welcome in our mosques every day throughout the year, but most non-Muslims join us for the breaking of the fast during Ramadan. I am only doing this as one last try at communication with my Christian brothers and sisters, and only for credit from my Lord. After this, I will not try to reach out, if all I get are negative responses. I wish you could understand it's out of love that I do this. I have nothing to gain other than for us to hopefully learn to be more open-minded and tolerant as human beings. I will never stop hoping for this. Peace.

Yes, I think you're right when you say that most Christians think anybody that's not "saved" is going to hell. I don't believe you have to be "saved" to make it there. I know saved means baptized, and I've been there and done that. It wasn't fulfilling for me being a Christian. Now I'm a Muslim, and I'm happier than ever. Muslims don't say about Christians that we think they're going to hell. What right does anybody have to say that about anybody? There are some Jews and Christians who I believe will go to heaven, god willing, because they were good people. Only God can decide, and this is a major problem I have with some Christians. They think they have a right to say who they believe will be in hell. That's nobody's right to say.

You are right... Christians should not being displaying negative behaviour like that. In fact, when Jesus was on earth, he displayed the kind of love we all should show. Many today call themselves Christian but act no different than the Pharisees that Jesus condemned. Whoever calls himself a Christian must make sure that they are being "Christ-like" in all their ways. That's why Jesus said that his followers would be no part of this world and that Satan was the god of this world. Why else would Satan be able to offer to him the kingdoms, or governments, of this world if he (Jesus) did an act of worship to him? Jesus also said to love our enemies... and love our neighbors as ourselves or the way we want to be treated. When people call themselves Christian and are mean to others or cause harm to others... then that is wrong and they are therefore not being true Christians or Christ-like. If everone were to follow this simple command from Jesus to love one another... to love our enemies... and to treat others the way we want to be treated... this world would be a better place. The bible says that vengeance belongs to God and is not for us to take matters into our own hands in dealing with any injustices of this world.

We should all get along, but at the same point you are pointing fingers at Christians I have seen a lot of Muslims on here slamming on Christians. I have nothing against Muslims. I know it was just the radicals that did 9/11. I believe everyone has the right to believe the way that they want to. In the end it will be up to God to sort through everything. Also a quick note- some people on this sight 'claim' to be Christians but by their questions and answers you can tell who is and is not one.

I understand what you're saying...I truely do. And the answers above are all just a sad proof of what you're talking about. Whatever happend to tolerance and love? There are fundamentalists and people who take things way too far in every religion. Ever heard of the KKK, people?? Yeah...its intolerant and ignorant bulls*it that bring people to this level of cruelty and clouded judgement. How many Christians in the US believe that what the members of the KKK did to their innocent victims is right or justified? Precious few I hope. Well...if you can see that, why can't you see that MAYBE, just MAYBE all Muslims don't share the same viewpoint as those that act out with violence at other religions/countries/whatever??? Get a conscious, people. Learn to look at things from all angles, not just your skewed vision. I'd love to say that there is hope for them yet...but I'm just not so sure anymore... :(

I just answered something similiar to this a second ago, we aren't suppose to be judgmental, but loving toward others, that is what Jesus taught. It seems that everyone thinks or wants their religion to be the right religion. In truth Jesus said that if they believe that He was God's son then they weren't against us. Just about every religion has a little variation from the others, and sometimes the wording of one sentence can change the whole meaning of what was meant.
EVERYONE should try to get along and show some brotherly love toward ALL of humankind. That is what Jesus would have wanted. After all He said He came for the sinners and not the believers. So let's talk with a little more respect with others, and show exactly how Jesus would have handled it.

It must get very frustrating, but when the news media continually bombards the public with horror stories about Muslim terrorist acts against Christians, it's not surprising.
The average Christian who really knows little if anything about Muslims, believes what they hear and see in the news. Most Christians haven't read the Koran (including me) and we only hear that it says a good Muslim must kill the infidels (meaning anyone who is not Muslim, including Christians).
I can only speak for myself and Americans like me, but our country was attacked by radical Muslims. Because of that, Americans have declared war on terrorists. As long as we are in a state of war, anyone who is Muslim is suspect, just like in WWII when the Japanese were interned in camps in the USA because the government didn't know who they could trust. We don't like it this way, but we need to think of the welfare of our country as a whole and what we need to do to protect ourselves.
It's a shame that this is what the world has come to. Perhaps a better way would be if people would insist that their governments be accountable to all other countries for harboring terrorists. Another way would be for people throughout the world to insist that their governments implement laws that make international sales of weapons and weapons technology illegal Someone is funding the terrorists and they should be held accountable..
Another way could be for people to insist their governments make development of other kinds of energy besides fossil fuels a priority. If that were to happen, foreign policy throughout the world would change and there would be no need to go to war over threats to destabilize oil imports and exports. It would certainly eventually result in withdrwal of Western countries from the Middle East.
Peace to you too.

There are fanatics in all religions, and because they are usually very vocal, they attract the most attention. In the meantime, those who live what they believe are quietly trying to help others and be a positive influence in this world.
Don't mistake the ranting of the few for the real beliefs of the many. Those who preach hate and violence aren't the true representatives of Christianity or any other faith.

Speaking truth is anything but being hateful. I would be commiting a dishonor to Muslims if I did not speak the truth. I have read from the Quran and have heard from some former Muslims who have recieved Eternal life through Jesus Christ.
To stand by while a people decieve themselves is the ultimate hatefullness. Christ always speaks the truth, even at the risk of offense.
I speak in this manner because I care about all people, even those who claim to be Muslim but are decieved into following a fragmented peaceful version of a violent bloodsoaked cult.

Bluenile, I take it you are Egyptian! right! watch your own news and tells us how are the Copt/ Christians are being treated in your own country. Saudia Arabia, who has the freedom over there, not the non believer and certainly not the Muslim woman. Look it, she is not permitted to drive among many other things. Who goes rioting whenever they feel insulted, even when it is false, and many innocent people die for it, even those who had nothing to do with those who supposedly insulted your people! WHO! some of Your people. I am not saying all Muslims act this way, but a lot of them. And those who do not join in the riot say nothing. That makes you and everyone else just have joined in the riots. A Nun got killed over what the Pope said! why? why make her pay for how they felt. They burned Churches, and other things and still going. Is that the Muslim behavior! A priest was stabbed in the back by a young man in Turkey because he felt insulted by someone else. He killed an innocent man. and many more. Two Christian girls on their home got their head chopped off, placed infront of their school. Reason, they were Christian. You want more! look, and you shall see.
"Men who speak not of the damage they know of, are just as guilt as those who did it"
You are judging all Christian even when you say not all of them, but you mean a lot of them. That is the same.
Just before you judge me as well, I am not Christian, so you can put your guns back into the holster. I don't hate them, nor am I scared of them either, actually I feel sorry for them.
You want people to change toward you, then you should ask yourself what is rotten in your home, and clean it, before looking out and wondering why people do not want to come close to you! Metaphorically!
Peace to you too.

If I did not love the muslims, I would say nothing to them and let them just keep on living a lie when they talk to me about God. I must tell the truth. If I see someone who I know is sinning, I will mention it if they act like they dont know they are doing anything wrong, because I love them....if I dont know them then I just pray for them ....Im not hateful or afraid of muslims, Jesus wants us to love our enemies but doesnt want us to deny Jesus or to accept lies and He wants us to be the light in darkness... You are right, we should not call eachother names. By the way..... how many are 1% of all muslims as far as a number goes? Hamas is on the world terrorist list also....there are many many Islamic terrorists who want to kill in large numbers if they can get away with it.... what are Islamic people doing about this? Also....in muslims countries the governement will kill their citizens if they chose Jesus.....I thought God gave us freewill...... God bless you.

Thats because people "pick n choose" what they want out of the bible. Theres a lot going on in there that people don't follow and that which they do. I say if you're gonna follow something, follow it 100% or not at all.
